It had crappy gas mileage tires on, admittedly no fun. I got some plus one takeoffs from a Celica GT-S with performance tires. That made the car fun to drive right…

Apparently, Mini has really upped their game. BMW Minis were really unreliable originally years ago.

The reliability ratings just give odds. I think even Jettas are more reliable than most cars made last century.

CR’s position, I think, is that after a certain amount of time, reliability stats aren’t as useful. I think back in the day, it was only 5 years, and now maybe 8-10, I don’t remember how far they go back these days.

If you read CR’s tests, they have several different scores. If you like what they say about the car, and willing to take a chance on reliability, go for it. They won’t recommend a car with unknown or poor reliability, but they’ll still give their honest opinion on the cars performance.

The problem is infotainment is often mixed in with basic controls these days, and that can make simple things a pain in the butt.

All CR’s ratings do is give odds. Doesn’t mean your particular car will be unreliable or reliable.

Boston Market mostly disappeared in the St. Louis area decades ago, I think it’s 100% gone now. Anyway, the only good thing they had was the oatmeal raisin cookie. I would go through the drive thru occasionally(there was never a line there, might explain why they didn’t last) and get myself one 99 cent cookie.

It’s bigger than the actual country, and would put up more of a fight.

I can’t remember the last time I saw one of these, but they were actually quite popular when they were new. I always liked the look of them, although I have no interest in actually owning one.

I’ve only used the local St. Louis branch, and so far over about 25 years I’ve had no problems. It probably depends where you are on how good they are.

The weird thing is I LIKED Brussel sprouts as a kid, and I don’t now. It might simply be that I didn’t have them for years or maybe even decades and lost the taste for them, I just know I didn’t like them last time I had some.

As reliable as cars are, I rarely need a tow, but I need them enough that that the approximately $90/yr I pay for AAA has more than paid itself off. Back in the day when cars were less reliable, AAA so paid itself off, so much so, that unlimited tows became limited to 4 a year.

I like theme parks, it’s the only reason I want Tampa saved. 

Please move Tampa to a better state first.

Garmin is years behind in my suburb of St. Louis county. They don’t have the new interchange at 270 and Lindbergh in yet, even though it’s been operational for probably a year now.
