On a side note, STL murder rate is down 20% this year! I think the report said some of it had moved to the county, but still, that’s significant. IIRC, at least some other violent crimes were down like robbery.

I think they both look good, and better than an Avanti.
I grew up near an Avanti decades ago, and consider it pretty ugly, but I respect the car itself. I wouldn’t buy it myself, but consider it a NP for someone who is interested in one.
Just by sheer volume around here, Dodge Chargers have no competition. Just aggressively driving assholes. Mustang drivers, with the occasional exception, seem to drive the same as everyone else.
“I’m humbled with deep regret and remorse to all the victims whose lives were negatively impacted by my actions and greed.”
Oh, I know that. The St. Louis area in general has random crime everywhere because of criminals stealing cars and doing their thing. I live in a part of North County that once you get more than a few hundred feet off the main drags, there is almost no crime at all.
“expenses” meant wearing out/feeding your car, although I could have been clearer about that.
No, CrossClimates are legitimately good touring tires that are also legitimately good snow tires. They are what are called 4 season tires, not all seasons, although there are 1 or two all seasons that are legitimate good in all cases, the Altimax 43 being one of them, although I think they’ve been discontinued. I’ve…
A lot of super market deliveries are through these services.
It’s apparently a thing in Great Britain, someone will buy a historic building, and it mysteriously burns down and is replaced by something modern. Apparently, they very occasionally get busted for it, someone got forced to rebuild one.
Cross Climates are great winter tires as they are high quality all seasons that are also high quality snow tires, so while they aren’t going to be as good as your Pilot Sports in the dry, they will be an excellent compromise when you know the temps are going to be below 40 degrees F.
If Cross Climates are available in your size, look into them, they are better in snow.
Cross Climates are great, high quality touring tires that can be used as solid snow tires. They apparently sold them in the size of my CRV for about three weeks, because earlier this year they finally had Cross Climates in the proper size after years of not having them in that size, and when I went to buy them, they…
$25/hr before expenses, taxes, business insurance, and you’re screwed if you get hurt because no workman’s comp. In other words, if you are entirely legal as a DD driver, you aren’t making shit, certainly nowhere near $25/hr.
Boring? Have you seen our violent crime rate? Also, you’re assuming a lot that she ever planned on registering the car. People will drive their car for years on expired paper plates because you have to pay your sales tax when you register the car. I’ve seen paper plates in plastic weatherproof plate cases. Btw, paper…
This is St. Louis. She wasn’t going to insure it OR pay taxes on it. She was going to put paper tags on it and let them expire. Probably. Eventually, taxes are going to be collected at sale, but it’s expected to take a few years before that all shakes out. Still doesn’t justify that shady tow lot’s actions.
Back in the day, there were two brands that were well above average in reliability by CR’s ratings: Any Toyota(before rust got them, anyway) and any Diesel Mercedes.
I would think workman’s comp would cover it. Maybe not, not an expert on it.
Can’t access my account, can’t login(via twitter) if I logout, but can still post. Weird.
And I’ve only got $27,690. :(
