Hey, how’s life in the ol’ Russian financed propaganda mill?

Wishful thinking. Between Covid and the Ferguson protests, traffic enforcement is way down. They went from targeting black people to just letting everyone get away with almost anything now.
And, while OC is still pretty conservative, they did vote for Biden over Trump.
That’s true of a lot of the US. Where I live, in north St. Louis County was a standalone small city until after WW II. I’m guessing over half of the city was built after 1960, although the city itself is just as old as St. Louis. I would say that a good 2/3 or even more of North County was built after 1960.
I’m guessing after that, you went onto the not so good list.
TIL there are black people in Wyoming. Even more surprising, black cops.
They won’t have to. Sinema and Manchin will vote with them.
As if Manchin and Sinema are going to vote for any reasonable candidate.
Yup. I was born about then, in LA county. We moved to the Huntington Beach part of OC in 1969. There was a Market Basket(a now defunct grocery store chain) that was built across the street from what later became the Huntington Beach Mall, and is now called Bella Terra Mall on Edinger.
I haven’t been to OC since I left in 1980, but it is much less white and conservative than it used to be. A lot more Asian, Latino and even the occasional Black person. I didn’t see a Black person in school until sixth grade.
Lol. Although, tbf, it’s not just Chargers.
I grew up in OC in the seventies, and while there was veiled racism, I don’t remember seeing such blatant direct racism until I moved to St. Louis. Of course, at the time, there were almost no black people to direct racism towards. I don’t think I saw my first black person at school until I was in 6th grade. I did see…
He must have been one of the few black county officers, back then, St. Louis County was almost entirely white, except 3 small black enclaves. Black people were still mostly in north city back then.
The Dasher was a nice car let down by it’s horrible engine. We had a Diesel for a year, comfortable, handled well, but you couldn’t run the air without overheating the engine, and of course it was slow as hell, but since the two cars previous to it were Type IIs, it was actually an improvement in that respect.
The Lagonda is one of the ugliest cars it has been my displeasure to see in real life when they were new.
They love America, but hate Americans somehow.
One thumb up.
Maybe in a year or two when you can actually get one.
In St. Louis, people drive whether they have a license or not. And, of course, the same people that don’t have a license don’t have insurance.
