That’s true.

You calling someone else fragile. lol.

So, zero and almost zero?

IIRC, CR reliability ratings go back 10 years, so all of the dead brands will fall off after they’ve been gone for 10 years.

It’s not that simple. A Chevy might have started as an Opel, but they cheapen it a lot. A Buick and a Chevy might have started with the same car, but they aren’t the same. A Buick is a lot closer to the original Opel than a Chevy.

These days, SOME all season tires actually are. Very few, though.

Old school Mercedes diesels, and that’s about it.

My old Ford Focus is a German car built in Mexico by an American company.

I think our 1973 VW Westfalia made it about 200,000 miles.

It depends on the tire. There is a vast range of capability between different models. Some all seasons are almost as good as a snow tire, some aren’t even close.

Some older cars DO crumple. The problem is, they crumple in bad places, like the cabin instead of the engine bay.

These things look Jeepy, but don’t have the capabilities of a dune buggy, much less a Jeep. Try driving one of these on the beach, and see what happens.

I don’t know about grade D, I don’t think the bridge has lost a fight yet.

Couldn’t find my pics when the original post came out, but the 2007 Honda Accord V6. Does everything reasonably well except gas mileage while looking totally boring and blends into the background.

The problem here in St. Louis is people not understanding or ignoring yield signs. We had a whole series of yield signs replaced by stop signs because idiots/assholes wouldn’t yield, now we have to stop for no reason.

Actually, the DMV is one of the few good things about Missouri. I’ve never had to wait long, and if you have all your paperwork, it’s only a few minutes. If you get a two year license, you just renew over the internet after an inspection every two years. Easy.

It’s probably already been done, but a simple tricolor LED redesign of the basic box lamp would be nice.

These were incredibly popular when I was growing up in Orange County,
