This contemporary resurgence of activism & the growing popular awareness of systemic racial oppression is really exciting

(though I can't help but wish that someone would take the reins from Sharpton)

I really don't understand all this shaming. Because being in a sorority is so expensive, and there is an image to uphold, some sorority girls are not allowed to let other people (men or women) wear their shirts at all unless it was a philanthropic event where they sold shirts.

I was in a sorority at a private school in the South and it wasn't like this. I enjoy reading the batshit antics, but feel obligated to remind people every time one of these articles is published that no, you can't lump all sorority girls into the same pearl-wearing Vaseline-slicking group.

You know what I love? When autocorrect changes whatever the hell I am typing to a non-word. Like somehong! HOW IS THAT A CORRECTION?

I said in the Gawker thread I wouldn't watch but I couldn't help myself. Now I wish I had stuck to my original intent. That press conference by McCulloch was one of the most condescending, maddening things I've seen/heard in a long time. I knew an indictment wasn't coming, but this DA is infuriating and unqualified

I can't handle this. Currently screaming into my pillow.

"Mike Brown deserved to be murdered in cold blood. Black eyewitnesses and media outlets can't be trusted, but white cops and the system that protects them deserve ALL your trust."- Bob McCulloch

(I might be paraphrasing)

I cannot with this movie right now! I saw it last night and it was so powerful! The scene where the rebels sang it made me cry

I was JUST thinking "HEY IT MIGHT BE TIME FOR BCO" and then IT APPEARED.

Wow. That's really belittling the effort of such a great writ...

I don't follow GOT at all, but I watched it last night because my husband watched it and I was too lazy to get off the couch, and when he pushed her into the moon door, I yelled OH SHIIIIIIT!!! It was awesome.

Dinklage just killed that final scene. All the hurt, resentment, and anger he has carried over a lifetime just came pouring out, directed not only at his family, but at the entire populace of King's Landing. It wasn't tactful at all but the vitriolic honesty was absolutely riveting.

I know someone who is diabetic, and finally things got kind of bad and her doctor gave her a pamphlet with some dietary guidelines to follow. It was the usual stuff like, whole grains, fruits and veggies, lean protein, etc, but at the end was an admonishment in all caps - "NO RANCH DRESSING!!!!!"

I legit love Chicago, why the fuck is Robin Thicke performing with them? Why does he have to ruin everything?

I've been a card carrying member of the Beyhive for the last 7 years (disclaimer necessary for what's to follow).

I love this. I'm currently revising Solicitor's Accounts and it's made my evening.
