Similar story, but one generation forward. In my case it was the C4 Corvette. During the 80s and 90s it was the fast American car, with some exceptions. As someone who's owned 3 Auroras, it is definitely different and still kind of cool. I wanted one as a kid, and the saying of “don’t drive your hero cars” didn’t seem to apply. Especially with the Autobahn package.
