I like the lucid air. It's a very pretty car with the performance to match. But! I also like the Rivian R1S. Which is more practical, arguably as good looking and can also be had in stupid speed configuration. And unlike Lucid, they'll deliver it to me in upstate NY.

Also you need to have a monopoly on the market for several years. That helps.

You’ve got this. As someone who built a car from the ground up, it seems like a lot of work right up till thing start coming together. And think of it this way, you’re kind of building a hot rod. Hot rodders have been mixing and matching parts forever. For example, the car I built has late 40s Lincoln drum brakes on

Ah, but by definition history is a bit late.

I almost became single a few weeks ago because of an odd car on a lot. We have a guy near us who seems to collect classics on the cheap. While me and the Mrs were driving by, I noticed a very distinct set of headlights and paddle handles. I pull in quick and grin. From the passenger seat “no, not again”. But honey,

The final 500 edition Oldsmobiles. They’re all maroon, and all have final 500 edition badges. Says less “These are the best we can make!” And more “we have waaay to much maroon paint left over”

Im beginning to think our new national history slogan is "And Reagan made it worse"

Now playing

If I had known that American shows were eligible, I could have submitted the greatest vehicle in American animation.

Still think Roger Smith's car from Big O should have made the list. Or, you know, his giant robot.

I used to watch it on Toonami. Between that and BoBoBo my wierd quotient was more than covered.

So wait, they can’t afford to treat their employees as, well, employees, but they can afford to spend millions lobbying Congress and running ads? Yeah not buying it.

“Well see, SpaceX launched a rocket today and it didn’t go as planned” “oh we have an Elon section in our system. Just send us photos and we’ll most likely accept your claim”

Im guessing you've never worked 3rd shift.

Ferrari will be untouchable right up until the next economic collapse. You can quote me on that

No can do. Sold it to my cousin who dragged it down a guardrail. He was fine, but bacon was not.

Exactly. I've said it before, I'll say it again. There is no need for 24hr news. None. If the news is serious enough, the stations can do a news break like they used to do. For evidence I submit what these news channels put in their prime time slots. Not news, but talking head opinion shows.

Have to say, Lordstown has lasted longer than I thought it would. I figured it would be gone before the end of 2021. But if Foxconn is smart, they’ll write off the losses on Lordstown and be done with it.

Might want to tell that to my neighbor who’s killed 2 Honda engine push mowers in the last 5 years. Both of them snapped rods, and when I looked them over the oil didn’t look bad(except the metal frag) and was the correct level.
