So very grateful the proper sonic is back. The sunglasses never grew on me over the series... Question is, was this pressure from the fans, or did the Moff always plan to bring it back? He seemed quite smitten with the sunglasses in interviews, but he could have just been screwing with us.

Probably a little from A and a little from B. I’m sure the merch guys enjoy it, and it keeps stuff from getting stale. They can’t change the TARDIS itself (much), but they can change the interior, and the sonic, and what the Doctor wears, within a margin.

For example, do you remember how long Heroes held on to Sylar? Now, I can imagine they didn’t want to lose Zachary Quinto, but the plot contortions the show went through to keep him around were absurd.

It’s very easy to fuck that up, but you’d think being stung a couple times one would get into the habit of trimming the “t=38” or whatever, off the URL. Meh.

Great series of ads! The one they did with Shatner reprising Kirk from ‘Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country’ was matched up so well, it looked like it could have been filmed in the 90s.
