This. It’s a shame, the rest of the car is decent.

He probably has a damn good moonshine hookup as well. Shine that’s strong enough to make a man want to steal a tractor.

I understand that, but my point is that the ‘07-’09 trucks have the particulate filter as well, with some of the ‘07-’09 engines being built to ‘10 emission standards.

This. Next door will be a car detail shop on one side, a body shop offering 300 dollar sprays on the other side and across the street from a buy here, pay here used car dealership. Good chance it’s also in a food desert.

I’m not sure the exact reason, but I can say that the marketing budget for Title Max and for a lot of other shady places beats out the reasonable ones in this market. They have the money to fill and saturate the local radio stations throughout the country. Same for local TV, Spotify free play, Hulu, etc.

It seems to be a bit cruel, and kills their resale of their rig. The different in PM emission output between the ‘07 trucks and the new trucks is minimal. And some of the engines were even designed and tested to be able to meet the 2010 emissions.

Fleets can install particulate matter filters in their engines to give them more time to change over to something cleaner.

I wouldn’t trust it being plugged into any computer, especially if it’s on a network that needs to be protected.

A product advertised as a portable SSD that has a transfer rate that’s half as fast as a platter disc drive is a bit sus.

Love the Chevy Express and the Ford E series for this reason. It’s nice being able to easily rebuild the suspension and have most of the same components avaliable for an entire fleet with a large range in age.

This. They’ll likely take the guard off, so add that into the mix with a broken wheel.

A ‘99-’03 TDI is a great car for someone who has some basic wrenching experience and wants something that’s cheap to maintain and can last another 150k miles without breaking the bank. This one in particular is not a good candidate.

And they’re incredibly heavy. Just about any commercial activity with one would require US DOT numbers and a log book.

Might need to call him a cab.

And the engine under the hood that has many repairs that’ll require dropping the engine and transmission.

That’s where it’s worth checking with them first to get an idea of their coffee nerd level, one size doesn’t fit all. Some people might view the Nespresso(gross) or pour over as their end game for their coffee addiction. And then there’s people who’ll be on r/espresso and trying to decide between HX and dual boiler.

One of my friends was quoted more than 2,000 dollars to diagnose and replace an I-Drive controller on their X3 after they spilled their coffee on it. Around 250 was for the diagnostic fee and the labor was quoted at close to a thousand dollars. I tried looking at it to troubleshoot, it took 5 minutes to remove it, 10

Yup, EV outperforms ICE when towing as well, especially with downhill descents with regenerative braking. The only issue with towing with an EV was already listed under range.

This. Some people might assume that they can do better, but it outperforms the ICE in every way except range and weight.
