I’ve been wondering why gasoline engines(mainly direct injected ones) don’t have them yet. Some of the direct injected gas engines need them pretty badly, especially at startup. Some examples would include the Hyundai direct injected engines with soot covered bumpers reminiscent of the non-DPF era of diesels. Some

Normally I’d agree, but Cybertruck was announced with a prototype and taking preorders before the pandemic was on the horizon. The C8 Z06 pictured was spotted in June of last year, the prototype was unveiled publicly(in good condition) in October and will likely be delivered this fall or winter.

RVing isn’t a hobby or something that makes financial sense. It’s a skilled trade for those who are a glutton for punishment and wish to live all the good, and especially bad of the Clark Griswold adventures. The kind of people who understand all the issues involved with RVing and still want to do it are similar to

Careful, the old joke that an RV is made for 40 uses didn’t start as a joke for no reason.

While I’ve never tried it, I’ve had friends who did. Some with success, others with spectacular failure. The main takeaway is to stick with a very old diesel for WVO, like an old Mercedes, 6.9 Ford, or an IDI VW diesel. It’s hard to screw these up, they’ll eat anything.

100 percent. Having to put your faith into the hands of the people behind you is not reassuring.

The moment when you can no longer see the car in front of you and decide to slow down, only to realize that the traffic behind you can’t see you either. It’s a terrifying feeling.

Correct. It's worth noting that the 1.4 is tuned down a little for the Dart, and the Dart of that year was around 700-900 lbs heavier than the Fiat 500. The Dart is the size of the MKV VW Jetta.

Paper specs aren’t the same as real world. Here’s a quote from Car and Driver.

A dealer basically gave one away to my dad, a 5 speed fully loaded limited. He actually loved it, the interior was quite nice. The car held up well, it was just very sluggish.

Eh, I believe gas prices would be less if we didn’t have covid. The plummet in demand from covid resulted in oil production plummeting to match that demand. Demand has recovered from covid, but production hasn’t. Some companies are actively choosing not to increase production because their shares are skyrocketing.

It’s just a Ram with a Cummins, I’ve got an aux tank for extra range. It’s a very nice luxury to have when towing. Usually it’s around 600-800 miles of towing, far enough that you can avoid having to fill up at the over priced truck stops.

Plus it gets really annoying having to replace the nozzle and make a new transaction. It usually takes 4 swipes on a 100 dollar limit on my truck, 5 times if it’s 75 dollars.

I was relieved when I saw the second image, it reveals a group of coffee makers that are all SCA Certified Brewers. But the list doesn’t contain any SCA coffee makers, not even for the best drip coffee maker.

Eh, I wouldn’t call Milwaukee underpowered and then recommend Ryobi. Ryobi and Milwaukee are made by TTI, TTI usually cripples Ryobi a little here and there to keep most pros on the higher priced Milwaukee line.

Rumor has it that a sandwich was the key to the successful assignation. I wonder if it tasted any good.

I completely agree. And then for the select few who do make the distance with the EA888, then comes the difficulty of wear items that were not made to be assessable. It’s like 5 hours book time for an experienced technician to replace a thermostat. With how cheap the housing is, it’s a question not if, but when.

The EA888 has been and still is a horrible engine. And for those who don’t know why, well they haven’t owned one past 60k miles or worked on one. The whole engine is fundamentally flawed, VW tried revising it at least 3 times and still can’t get it right. If the timing chain tensioners, rear main seal, or water pump
