It’s never too late to go back. Plus, you’ll experience the nostalgia of ‘08 when hitting the fuel pump’s 100 dollar credit limit.

If you’re willing to sacrifice some capability, the Autocrane HC7 chassis will work with 4x8s and tool boxes. If money were no issue, a Western Star vocational truck would be great. Unfortunately, you do give up critter comforts in those trucks :(.
This. You can even get one with a small crane/bucket. That’d be my choice.
Very well said. I can only imagine what’d happen if they do this to a 3/4 ton truck, some of those trucks are aired up to 80 psi in the rear from the factory. When a load rage E tire blows, it’s not pretty.
Fwiw, the driver was ticketed for following too close.
It’s such a fun game to play, trying to identify which part bins the truck, bus, and RV manufactures are picking from. I’m not sure if this is the one you’re looking for, if not, it’ll be fun identifying it. Holiday Rambler used many different parts over the years. These look similar to the Bonneville ones. If you…
Yikes. Average of 16 mpg with that small of a tank?
Very interesting. The look of the bearings shows that long OCIs aren’t that bad. I’ll add that I don’t think cheap oil(more of a old school issue before some of us were born, API standards changed that over the years) or excessive OCI is the cause of the sludge. A lot of times it’s caused by issues related to crank…
You win!
Same here, it’s one of my favorite things to spot. It took me a while to pick this one out as well, I think it’s because these actually blend in pretty well with the design. The same can't be said for motorhomes with Camry taillight.
Nailed it.
It makes me so happy to see pieces of the Oldsmobile Alero live on.

PM is a measure of particulates, which is only applied to diesel engines, so your statement makes no sense.
And it’s significantly more expensive than the DEF that’s at the pump. I wish they’d just just a standard DEF filler neck.
I hear that argument often, but outside of CO2, the medium duty Cummins in 2013 beat the PM output of the Prius. The newer Cummins actually pollutes more PM than the 2013, but it still beats the current standard by a long shot and matches passenger car standards.
Actually, Cummins proved they can meet SULEV for 2025 back in 2013. I believe this is what you really meant.
Your ideas intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your news letter.
