For those who are shopping for a drill, the DeWalt drill above is their low end home gamer drill that’s comparable to the 39 dollar Ryobi drill. In my case, the 39 dollar Ryobi is still running and my DeWalt let out the magic smoke. A decent drill is their contractor style hammer drill. If that’s too pricey, the newer

I agree with you 100 percent. I just wouldn’t put too much gamble of it on a CP4 pump equipped diesel. The stakes are a bit higher when a thousand dollar pump pukes into injectors that cost 500-1000 each and then returns the metal vomit back to the tank and through the lift pump again.

In the TDI at the half tank: But I've got another 350 miles left in her!

The vehicles would also be built to Euro 6 at a minimum. I wish our emissions would just align with the Euro. Then again, standardization just makes too much sense.

People like to compare us to China when showing efforts to make emission improvements. But China’s recently implemented diesel emission target for NOx is around 6 times higher than the cheating VW TDI. Or around 280 times higher than the older US Tier 2 Bin 5.

That’s a good question. If there’s not enough demand, airliners will adjust and reduce the amount of flights on that particular route or eventually cancel the route. If people reduce their flights as just a one off event, it won’t do jack shit.

Basically, travel less to produce less CO2. But that doesn't capture as much of the clickie clickie for that sweet ad revenue.

Holy Toledo!

In the U.S., there’s a sliding scale for emissions based on engine power. Smaller engines eventually will have similar emission requirements as cars. Hence why sub compact diesel tractors above 25 hp now have DPFs and urea. EFI and catalytic converters are starting to trickle their way into garden tractors. Even

Some of the vehicles may be mileage exempt. My truck is mileage exempt due to it being old with around 300,000 miles. Verification is also done on the odometer, but some DMVs will no longer trust the odometer reading.

The newer diesels do not have the long warmup period like they used to. Any particulate matter is still caught in the particulate filter. Direct injection engines in general put out a lot of PM when they’re cold, unfiltered engines pollute a lot at startup and the initial warmup.

The thing that matter most to law enforcement is serviceability and reliability. Some of the vehicles are running nearly non-stop and the keys are handed to the next shift. When they do have an issue, fleet maintenance needs to be able have access to parts and and be able to service them quickly. If the Tesla can

One of my friends had the battery replaced on their Bolt at the fine tune of over 15 grand. I’d hate to hear how much the battery costs for an electric truck. I know for transit buses, the electric option’s additional price is more than my mortgage.

Context: I’m using safety straps to protect the bar and steel safety bars in case if the strap fails.

Given how drained they were, I can’t blame them for recharging themselves by taking a nap. Hopefully the Tesla and the batteries don’t runaway and crash.

I looked at the 3 series when I agreed to the VW buyback for dieselgate. I was surprised to find out the 3 series didn't have near the room of the Golf. I ended up with a MKV Jetta diesel to hold me over until there was a more desirable vehicle out there.

It was a bit more complex than that. The urea with selective catalyst reduction system cost is one thing, but the other big challenge was putting it on a platform that wasn’t designed to handle SCR in the first place. SCR with urea injection came to newer platforms that were designed to handle the system.

I’d be up for watching from a safe distance if you’d like to try.
