Not only that, VW beat them to the punch over a decade earlier. Ironic that FCA would lie about an emission technology claim that was actually made by someone who cheated with that emission technology.

“Introduction of a dual, high-pressure and low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation system, a first for a diesel engine in North America.”
It also depends on the transmission. On the one in my pickup, it’s better to go clutchless except for the 3-4 shift. On newer transmissions in small cars you might as well use the clutch for all the shifts.
Not needed. I usually use the clutch only for taking off. I’ll sometimes use the clutch for a faster 3-4 shift to keep the turbo spooled.
Correct. Left foot is on the brake if needed, right foot is dancing away.

I used to do it that way, but it was uncomfortable rolling my foot like that(15.5). I’ve got more room to do it in the truck than the VW. Though, sometimes I’d clutch and bring the brake with it.
My feet are too big for heel toe. Left foot on the brake and rev match with the right is all I can do.
The best moonshine I ever had was from Ricky Rudd. He used to make some extra and let my buddy have a few jars. You could probably run his race cars off the stuff.
You do realize he lives in the Carolinas, right?
Star for you.
You can never have two many levels of precautions when you’re dealing with a suspended load. My setup is similar(along with using the metal bar under the safety strap as a backup). The strap saved my face when a shoulder seperation occured when unracking.
I’ve witnessed the very thing happen twice. The first one happened with a guy I was spotting that was benching 405. Something happened to his shoulder just before beginning the press and he immediately dropped the weight. There’s no way to react quickly enough, spotters back off they begin to lower the weight.
You sir are doing the lord’s work. Also, my cardiologist thanks you for helping with their boat payment.
It’ll hit, but it’s likely not as bad as what we saw in 2008. I’ll be very surprised and will eat my words if an iceberg appears bigger than the sub prime mortgages and ponzi schemes of yesteryear.
I sincerely hope you are right. The signs are there, the RV capital of the world is on a down turn and crane rentals are going from a backlog of rentals to parking cranes. Those are the two red flags for me.
Damn, you rich AF! I’d join you at the OG, but I’m afraid I’ll be stuck at Cici’s.
They cheated because it saved them money and gave a marketing advantage, not because it was impossible. Get your facts straight.
By choice, not technical limitation. Regulation and laws can prevent that.
