Prices never go down. It won't ever save the customer money. But an increasing amount of buyers will happily pay more to be able to say, "yes, sell me this car in this color with these options. How much? Ok. Here money." But no. It's never like that.

Nobody’s saying it’s the end-all be-all, it’s just not complete trash. I’ve said it before: we designed our house from plot plan to floor plan to the direction of the tile in the shower. Every item had the cost listed. In 6 hours, we designed an entire house and got our final price.

Yep. We built our house to spec. The catalog tells you what a backsplash in glass block tile in a herringbone pattern will cost. Pay it or don't. 8 hours total and we did it all, from floorplan layouts to the transition strips in the floor to the style of door knobs.

I’m in the market for one, and I want to simply buy it outright but I get to the end of the configurator and it directs me to local dealer stock and I just give up. It's been months and months. Here money! Give consumer goods! But no00ooo.
