I have similar made up opinions about nuns.

A public space being used by a private company for a shared transportation service is what is being compared. In one case, bikes on sidewalks. In another cars in parking spots. How are these not comparable?

Precisely. The cop was yelling contradictory directions, threatening the man if he made a “mistake”. As soon as he gave the guy those orders, I knew the guyvwas going to accidentally flinch or misunderstand the cop’s directions and get mowed down. There was no way for him to survive this. Unbelievable.

Looks like a half-wit with a badge and the chance to be a hero in his own mind by executing a “bad guy.”

The man was confused and frightened and the cop was out of line using the word “mistake” over and over again.

Sorry for the multiple comments, but I just can’t understand this. How the FUCK is this not enough for a conviction? The officer’s actions DIRECTLY led to this man’s death, and I’m not just talking about the shooting. He is GOADING them into doing something to justify shooting them. This is fucking SICK.

This is insane. The officer seemed to be purposefully asking for difficult things of this man to rationalize shooting him.

Cop failed lesson #1: Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.

My guess is that he dropped the mag and locked the slide back to show the gun was safe. When he reinserted the mag he hit the slide release and a round was chambered.

Jalopnik writers and most of the commentariat imagines that 1) “the law” is some sort procedure manual for driving, which it certainly isn’t, and 2) that it is a cohesive, thought-out system when it’s mostly a collection of ad-hoc political reactions to interest groups and public pressure.

Autonomous vehicles obey the law, and thus will stay in the slow lane until they are able to pass while driving the speed limit... So they’ll be in the slow lane forever.

I think he was assuming that most viewers of a video on performance cars might have some understanding of power, acceleration and torque. I didn’t hear anything in the video that was misleading. You develop power with more torque, or higher rpm, or both, which is exactly what he said.
