You're the type of pendejo gringo tourista that we wish would stay the hell away. You sound like the type that would complain about the balloons not going the "right direction" at Balloon Fiesta.

You left poor reviews for somewhere you never went?
I think you forgot Concern #4: Yelp extorts businesses.
Wow. Just wow. You might want to splash on some self-awareness, instead.

This "comment" is the reason people hate yelp.
And oh god this quote:
"One was for a restaurant in Santa Fe I never patronized. I'd heard it was fabulous, but then read that they banned patrons who wear perfume. Perfume has been and will always be one of my splurges and I don't leave home without a little Guerlain, Cartier or Molyneux. I called them to ask if the perfume ban could…

You posted a bad review (presumably) because a restaurant you never actually entered had a clearly stated policy that you disagreed with? You sound like a gem.
I cannot roll my eyes any harder. Grow up.
It's not the perfume that makes you an asshole, it's the way you name drop brand names.
So would you give a negative review to a book you've never read or a movie you've never seen? A review based on a phone call about a single policy is ridiculous.
Sooooo basically you did the exact thing that you shouldn't do? Bravo.

Or, in addition to allergies, some people want to be able to smell and taste their food, which gets drowned out if the person at the next table is drowning in perfume. Gross.
As someone with severe allergies and no desire to smell other people's idea of "sexy", I'm glad there's places out there that do ban reeking stench monsters from polluting the air.
It may be possible that they had a staff member with reactive airways or another perfume-related allergy.
FYI, you're kind of an entitled asshole. The reason many places ban perfume is because of people with allergies, asthma, or migraines. Perfume can trigger a hour or days long migraine for some people.
