Yep. An OBS Ford has been my dream truck since I was a kid. I just bought this one about a month ago with the 7.3L non-turbo IDI diesel.

Trailers tend to do a lot of sitting. Sitting bearing grease that’s pretty much out in the air can turn to a thick, sludgy substance sort of like pine rosin. On a car, the bearings heat up and cool down regularly, so the grease is getting “worked” and doesn’t halfway solidify. Sort of like how the oil in a car’s

I bought a 2000 S70 about three months ago that had a few little issues here and there, but nothing major. Radio code, power antenna, cabin air filter, weird oil filter housing, tranny drain and fill, etc. Every single time I searched for something on Google, his videos came up, so I subscribed. I haven’t really had

1998 Audi A4 Avant. I knew better - I read Jalopnik everyday. I thought it wouldn’t be that bad. I was wrong. I bought it in March of this year and sold it in July of this year. Every week (not an exaggeration) it either sprung a new leak or something broke. It was an automatic with the “sealed for life” transmission

Agreed. I don’t remember where I read it, possibly Doug DeMuro, but it said something to the effect of: “The people who say there is still such a thing as German reliability are the same people who trade in their Mercedes Benz for a new one every three years.”

I’m saying nothing happened at all. The whole backstory was fabricated because it makes no sense, and it was all made up to make it seem interesting when posted on the internet. More than likely a car with mechanical issues that exceeded the value, so they made an entertaining video before it went to the scrap yard

I think you missed the point. There is a reason Audi’s depreciate like a rock. After a certain (short) amount of time they are worthless. I sold the Audi and bought a sixteen year old Volvo. Guess what? It isn’t falling apart and hasn’t depreciated as horribly as an Audi of similar vintage.

Same situation. When a major component breaks on an Audi over a few years old, they’re destined for the scrapyard.

I’m going to call shenanigans on this. Only because I owned a B5 Audi A4 and they are useless. Meaning, they’re only worth about $2000 (at least around Atlanta) in running condition, so if the timing belt snaps or the tranny grenades itself, you’re better off junking it than fixing it. I sold my 1998 A4 Avant for

I own a single cab F150. I’m a carpenter (furniture maker) and have to go to my lumber yard about twice a week for materials that are 12ft long or more, so a single cab with an 8ft bed is exactly what I need since I don’t have kids or anything. Why did I seek out a single instead of an extended or crew cab? Because

Thanks! It’s the absolute best car I could have picked up for the money, I’m sure.

Love this car. I would have probably enjoyed a wagon more as I replaced an Audi A4 Avant with this. But finding a manual Volvo in the states, much less a wagon is very difficult. Haha

I looked up the YouTube videos on it already and they sound really good. Haha. But I’m keeping this one as a stock daily driver for now. I have a 200 six in my ‘63 Comet that sounds just as nice, so I’ll make do with that one for the time being.

Not an 850, but essentially a facelifted 850. I bought this S70 two weeks ago with 111k, 2.4L NA 5 cylinder, full Volvo dealer service history from its single owner, and a 5speed manual for $2500. I never thought I would love a front wheel drive car, but this thing is fantastic.

I mean, it does say the car had a full respray, so if you do that right, you take the bumper covers and side skirts off. On the otherhand, if you do that right, you also dial in the panel gaps on reassembly. Who knows on a Honda with a theft history? Haha.

I really don’t get all of the Spirit hate. I use them at least once a month between ATL and ORD. They’re always on time or often early to the gate and do what I want them to do - fly me to where I am going. I put a movie on my laptop and call it good. I have a $40 bag that fits into their “personal item”

My sister has had one from that era for over ten years now and I don’t think anything has broken on it yet. Well over 200k on it!

I think it’s safe to say that after the reliability and build quality of the Malibu, my mom is pretty anti GM at this point. When she had the trunk lid replaced on her Accord due to a collision, she got a Ford Flex as a rental and loved it. When the clear coat hazed up on the trunk about five years later and she took

My mom bought a slightly used SL2 in 1997 and she loved it. Even though I was about eleven years old I remember them talking about how great the dealership treated them and how accommodating they were when she brought it in for service. They gave my sister and I cookies, popcorn, and soda and let us watch TV on any

Plate trading is common in stunt crews. Person A steals a plate and runs it for a while and then trades it to Person B for their plate which has already been passed around the alphabet a few times. Keeps you from getting pulled over for not having a plate unless the cop chooses to randomly run it, and the constant
