It was also $30K when $30K was real money.

Good point. We should crush ALL the Chargers and Challengers. Maybe G35/37s too.  Just to be safe. And on general principles.

I have friends, honest! But not like, my immediate neighbors, so no one is starting from the same place. Middle aged people don’t seem to pick people up on the way as much as just meet at the destination.

It is reasonable tho? Certainly for anything in a car seat or a trip to the lunch spot. And I’d say your use case of “driving with co-workers” is as rare as somebody using their pickup as a pickup. I’m not a hermit by any means, but I don’t even remember the last time I was in a car with even 3 adults, much less 4.

LOL, “I’ve been trying to buy one for a year” is not exactly the lead in to an unbiased review. And the laughable assertion that it drives as well as the Type R means I should expect to see a bunch of these trackside soon? No? Yeah, thought not. And who gives the tiniest fuck about the backseat? Are you riding back

No dice. Every time I looked at it I’d wonder why I didn’t hold out for a stick.

You can get almost anywhere you can get on a Rokon on a Trail. Just not quickly.

Wings are never my only bike, but they are usually my second. Doesn’t even need to be near new. But I won’t road trip on anything else, because you can ride all day and still enjoy your destination when you arrive.

Unless you are doing Africa style countless miles on unimproved roads they don’t make much sense. On that kind of road though, big gas tank, cushy ride, more torque, less vibration and some weight to soak up the little stuff, they are fantastic.

As long as it’s electric start being short isn’t that bad on enduros. Kick starting a hot 600 with a carb when you can’t kick AND reach the ground at the same time was the absolute fucking pits though.

A Goldwing is just WAY better at touring. Like night and day better.

It might not smog in California if it’s newer than a 75. Which it might be.

I’m short, so I’ve always hated this segment personally. I prefer a scooter for around town, a standard UJM style for daily driving and a Goldwing for trips. And an actual race bike for the track, although my old TZ250 was a right pain in the ass. Offroad I’d rather have a CR500 with a flywheel weight than any enduro.

Pull the drivetrain and all the trim without a VIN and trash the rest. Hell, maybe they just wanted the wheels, I’m sure they fit any Honda. Remember when everyone with Accord Sports was getting their wheels jacked?

I tell this story all the time, but my mom was an absolute idiot at picking cars. My dad got stationed to West Germany and bought her a new car to take over. Her choice? Vega with an auto. You haven’t lived until you’ve rolled down the Autobahn in a Vega. We were regularly passed by 2CVs. I’m not even sure that Vega

If your insurance scam plays out like an attempted carjacking then you should have every expectation of getting shot.

If you are going to buy old Japanese bikes, I’d advise staying away from one year only models (unless you can score a parts bike or 2), even if they are mostly parts bin specials. Unique parts for these were damn near impossible to get by 1990, much less today.

Yep. My kid moved to Hawaii and left a car that won’t pass in my driveway. I’m going to have to BAT it out of state. Luckily it has a bit of a cult following, so fingers crossed.

Nah. C8, easy.

Eh, I got a dog. He’ll find it if it’s worth finding.
