Yeah, a 43 year old Ripley does not work for me even a little for TTMR. It’s a coming of age novel practically FFS. Might as well make Holden Caufield a middle aged divorcee. Anyway, I guess we’ll see.

It’s not really a “slight” problem IMO, but I guess I’ll reserve judgement.

Was never crazy about the ending, but everything else is great.

Why did Nissan even bother with the fucking Z if they weren’t going to make any?

Just reinforces my prejudice against cigar smokers. Maybe, somewhere, there’s a cigar smoker who isn’t an absolute douche (or that will ever shut the fuck up about brown liquor), but I haven’t met them yet. It’s a dick measuring contest for dudes too insecure to suck an actual dick.

Man, I loved the JP Special livery when I was a kid. I had so many models and die casts of these cars.

The drivetrains (except for the autoboxes) were fine. I had a few, all with some variant of the new era 6 (232,248,258,282 etc) and the motors were fantastic. Everything bolted to that motor though... I swear to god I was in the door panels weekly. If it wasn’t window regulators it was latches.

I mean, they weren’t up to snuff NEW.  It’s hard to overstate how bad the interiors were.

I’m starting to wonder how many folks recommending AMCs are actually old enough to have significant seat time in them. Build quality was dire, and all the trim and body parts were absolutely the cheapest crap they could source.

Except the Triumph is FAR better looking, sure.

You’ll find that the Cougars with desirable trim levels have always been as popular as Mustangs to collectors, they just made fewer. Eliminators, GT-Es, and GT 390/428 and 351C cars have always been costly.

Well, there’s no way they would film any of the novels that weren’t Tarl Cabot, and Tarl Cabot would be easy enough to adapt. You could gloss over the uber vanilla BDSM (seriously it’s way tamer than 50 Shades) stuff super easy, I skipped it all as a kid. The world building was always great though.

To be fair, the cops will often just lie about you cooperating. Figuring if you have nothing left to lose you might as well, since they are going to tell everyone you did anyway. They would often combine that with “drop the charges, but keep the drugs’ ensuring you were right back on the street presumably owing

It would be full of water though.

Those Ohlins forks were like a $1800 option on my ex wifes Sport Classic.

I could commute on foot if I wanted, since I have a work truck I leave at the yard. One seat is all I need. My DD probably averages well less than 5K a year, and 0 of those 5K involve passengers that aren’t canine.

My 05 has never had anyone sit in back, adult or not. I rarely even have a passenger, because my wife can’t smoke in my cars. The back seat is a package shelf.

Lady likes to work for sure.

Plates stay with the car in California and lots of folks just drive on expired ones. Get busted, buy another hooptie.

Hell, my 20 year old Evo was too fast for the street and it was only 375 whp. You could barely, and I mean barely, get on it anywhere.  My daily has 93 whole hp and I drive it in Orange County traffic no problem.
