So, I was “too old” (hated fun at the time evidently) for the OG run and never watched. And, didn’t read the books either past 1978 (I didn’t come back until digital) or so. Is there anything in this for me, or is it purely a g rated nostalgia exercise?

Well, that would be nice, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. But I haven’t done “appointment” television since the VCR was a thing, since I’ve always worked bar shifts as an extra gig. So it’s whenever it hits the torrent sites now.

And there’s literally nothing stopping someone from watching once a week, even if all the eps drop at once.  For myself, all that happens if they only release a ep a week is that I wait until all the eps have been shown before I start.

Mac Davis and Jerry Reed, 2 great musicians turned great character actors. Davis wrote for Elvis and had the mandatory 70s variety show.

In the book, the team is the North Dallas Bulls.

Meat loaf was pretty good too IIRC.

Same thing with my old Evo.

Yeah, I sweat bullets when I drive mine, it’s so unregistered it’s ridiculous, and I still have the off road muffler on it. Of course, if it was a new BMW they wouldn’t look twice.

Jamboree and PCH? LOL, they crash there, they crash further up past Fashion Island, and they crash after turning left onto PCH by the Porsche dealer.

Including lifts.

Any of these available with a stick?

Eh, I close the bars, then hit the after party or lock in until the sun comes up, but that might require a 4 AM meal on occasion.

King Rat’s been done, in the early 70s. George Segal I wanna say? Never seen it tho. LOL, guess I should have scrolled down.

Do you people not drink? And in a LOT of places, IHOP or Denny’s will literally be the only after bar time choice.

Out here in SoCal, Whole Foods is garbage now (for actual groceries), to the point I don’t shop there even though they are the closest store.

Not in that baby shit brown it didn’t. There were a couple questionable colors available IIRC. That said I have 10s of thousands of miles in these, usually with 4 college age dudes rolling down I5 with no AC at 55.

Didn’t they do this at an El Al counter in Greece in the 70s?

Too goddamn old again.

LOL, I say this every time, then I end up rereading whatever and deciding I really don’t need to see the show anytime soon, which always turns out to be never.

What if I said I though Fury Road was WAY over rated?
