Screaming deal right there.

I haven’t checked in a couple years, but they were both scarce and expensive last I looked. I don’t think Triumph sells a bunch, then you gotta wait for a wreck. Maybe once they age out some more.

I always wanted a Rocket III motor for mine. 165 hp, but more importantly 163 ft lbs. Plus, not transverse.

Ah, of course I DNRTFA.

War Zone wasn’t great, but it was faithful to the Max version.

I think cops steal military ranks based on how cool they sound, and it seems to vary by department.

I can’t speak for WW, but my family would rob me blind much faster than a stranger. I’d be in the cheapest home they could find inside a week while they sold off or stole everything I owned. And they would feel 100% justified I’m sure, but fuck them, I’ll set my shit on fire before they get a fucking penny.

My understanding is that from a peer review academic type standpoint the initial findings were basically uselessly bad science, so that doesn’t surprise me. Crichton was an MD as well.

I actually like that film adaptation as well. I’d say both were solid B level.

Coming right after Blood In, Blood Out and American Me it just seemed really safe I remember. I was all how did you let Taylor fucking Hackford make a better prison movie than you?

I usually get crucified for this, but I didn’t like Shawshank much in the theater and have never bothered to rewatch it. The whole it’s everyone’s favorite movie now thing is totally inexplicable to me.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Jurassic Park all the way through TBH. It certainly shouldn’t be difficult to improve on a Crichton novel though, dude is a pretty bad writer, with good ideas. The Godfather is supposedly better, but I’ve never made it past the endless descriptions of Sonny’s dick in the book. But, you

LOL, I’m old, so Radiohead was always a bunch of dudes who owned all the same records I did. I do like The Bends and In Rainbows tho. I just don’t think they are timeless geniuses or anything.

Yeah, I’ve never made it 30 minutes in to LOTR to be honest, and skipped GOT as well. If it’s too faithful to the book I get bored because I know what’s coming, and if it isn’t I get salty because the changes are invariably for the worse. This was ok when I was a kid, since an adaptation was often the first I’d heard

LOL, I didn’t even have a credit cart until I was pushing 50, that’s how much I hate being in debt. Getting a mortgage was basically the worst day of my life, since now I’m 100% guaranteed to die in debt.

I mean, if I’m a fan of a novel, why would I care about an adaptation? I’ve never understood this line of thinking. I can’t think of a single film that I liked better than (or even half as much as) the source novel, if the source material is something I liked on its own. In fact, I’ll generally skip a film adaptation

No, it’s you that doesn’t understand” seems to be the default take of Nolan supporters, not the far more obvious take of “dude isn’t as clever as he thinks”.

Yeah, I walked up the tunnel with him for a Springsteen show at the Coliseum. September of 85 I wanna say? He was rolling his Top Gun jacket, like he just came from the set. Be a weird place to wear lifts, but that’s what everyone says when I point out his shortness might be exaggerated.  I’m short tho for sure, so

My daily has 93. It’s fine?

I’m 5'7" and can state with 100% certainty that Tom Cruise is taller than me. Not by a lot, but he’s probably 5'8"ish.
