I will not hear different.

I know it’s got a bad rep as a purposefully bad movie trying way too hard to be amusing, but I fucking love Planet Terror, right down to its silly missing reel joke.

I agree, a full on troll advice column (in the tradition of the Onion) with fake letters and crazy nutty advice would be better. It could be really funny.

I think most of us come here to hate read it, and the commenters give better advice than “Jane”.

I think the joke is that Jane is a nihilist because all her advice basically boils down to “do whatever, you might die anyway.”

I’m wondering the same. Although I also now look forward to the column every week just to see what horrible advice Jane dishes out to some poor person, and the much better advice in the comments.

Seems like a comedy/troll thing. The letter writers are not real people.

I’m confused about this advice column. Is it supposed to be bad? Am I just missing the joke?

LW 1-I’m interested in the fact that you spent more time talking about your father than about your lack of a girlfriend. And even then, the lack of girlfriend thing seemed more about how you worry that your approach will turn you into a guy like your father.

I’m 30 and I’ve never kissed a girl let alone dated or slept with one. I don’t think it’s as uncommon as you’d be led to believe.
