I loved it. I thought it was insane and heavy-handed but beautiful, riveting and kind of hilarious! JLaw and Javier Bardem act the fuck out of it. I also loved black swan and requiem for a dream so if you like those I’d recommend.

That’s NOT what the film is about. It’s about how we, as human beings, selfishly exploit the hell out of mother earth. If you stayed for the credits, there’s a very clear explanation for who Javier Bardem’s character represents.
