Thank you for participating.

Anytime someone describes Hillary as ‘center-right’, it’s safe to tune out everything they say after.

Don’t even try dude. I work with one of these “She’s center-right” people, and I’ve realized that he’s just a lazy socialist who hates all rich people and thinks he’s sticking it to the man by refusing to vote for her.

Good. Now all the youngin’s will see how it was like to play with corded controllers. Back in my day...

Hillary has investigated and called out racial segregation in schools. She also works with charitable foundations and initiatives that help millions of Africans access anti-malarial and retroviral drugs to treat malaria and AIDS and raised funds for disaster relief after the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, Hurricane

That’s not an eloquent voice; that’s a puerile opinion from a simple mind expounding a facile, tired internet meme about false equivalence. It’s stupid, and it’s okay to call out Colin Kaepernick for not being the deepest philosopher who ever lived.

He doesn’t need to pick a side, but Both Sides Are Equally Bad is the argument of somebody who hasn’t thought things through.

This isn’t eloquence. It’s a young man practicing the logical fallacy of false equivalence. It’s trite. And it’s self-defeating.

How about the idea that maybe if one of his opinions is based on false equivalencies like this - then maybe his other opinions might be viewed with some skepticism?

I fully support Kaepernick and the protests (and dialogue) he’s sparked nationwide. But when you hear him talk, he sounds like someone who got recently woke by some hotep tweets.

I’m pretty sure I am going to win this. I lived with all of the roommates below in on campus apartment style housing in a single school year:

I only clicked on the article to see if my old roommate was talking shit about me.

My best story is someone else’s too! A guy I know was renting a house with a friend of his and having a lot of moderately wild parties. At one of them the local drug dealer turned up to, ah, peddle his wares. And stayed. For three months they shared a house with some random thug type they were scared to ask to move

Roomate was a mess. As in I had to walk over mounds of clothes and other objects to get to my bed. He routinely lit his PC monitor on fire, “to jumpstart his brain”, with the fumes. Also routinely disassembled and reassembled a paintball grenade in the room. I called him out for that and he said potentially destroying

My freshman year I had an extremely paranoid roommate that, among other strange behaviors, had to have the blinds on the windows completely closed every time he changed because he didn’t want to risk anyone seeing him without any clothes on.

Sounds

I don’t think this necessarily offers hope for humanity, but I wouldn’t say it’s just basic decency for a guy who went to the school expecting to be fawned over by excited kids to instead sit down with a lonely, awkward boy who probably didn’t even know who he was.
