Not paying for gas any more, and keeping carbon out of the atmosphere (net over the lifetime of the vehicle).

Yes, I mean look at them - they’re exactly the same.

Why do they “pinch” the plastic cladding around the wheel wells? The areas most exposed to spray from the wheels are... painted metal, not the cladding.

OK - do you want a really pedantic complaint? Titles where its like “Someone did such and such...” makes it seem like there’s way more mystery here than there is - i.e.: someone snuck in at night and made this bronco! But who could it be?

You didn’t show the side profile picture where its GM-style slab sized oversizedness becomes obvious because the wheels look comically undersized.

Yes - hawaii I get! Though its funny - wine and booze and dairy is cheaper in hawaii even after currency exchange than it is at home in Canada. Shrug!

    Yes - $47.96 / 367 kwh = 13.1 cents per kwh, all in.

re: the Cladding: The BZX4 / solterra or whatever and the RAV4 are the worst because the cladding doesn’t extend to the areas of the body that are actually pelted by rocks and dirt if you spin your wheels at all - those parts are painted body color metal because the cladding has that ridiculous “pinch” look to it.

As an aside: my kwh rate here is $0.09, that’s Canadian dollars too. Who’s paying $0.30 USD? Well - Hawaii.

Looks like the owner put a lot into the build! I love seeing people’s takes on overlanding, and this looks like a cool one.

This is a bad take, Toyota. The right take is that people want the choice between a few price points. That is to say, not ever Charger sold is a Hellcat - but more chargers are sold because the hellcat exists.

Isn’t this a Nissan Rogue? Shouldn’t it be compared to that?

Another example of cool forbidden fruit - cheaper and more irreverent than the Yaris Cross (aggro looking, small, AWD, Hybrid!).

Given that this is still essentially a technology development platform, why does Toyota bother developing its own visual identity, interior, etc. at all? That is to say, I understand that its built on one Lexus platform or another - why not just have a fuel cell version of the Lexus to get the driving hours and

Bollinger isn’t vaporware, but nor do they have a business model that will make their business sustainable. I assume they’ve pivoted to super luxury price points for a very cool but utilitarian truck because they’re looking for a path to cash flow survival —- doesn’t seem like a great omen.

I’ve recently rented both a Ford Excursion and a Kia Forte, and both had auto high beams, and they’re awesome. You have to turn on high beams, but once they’re on, they turn off when they see oncoming traffic, or traffic ahead of you. Such a good feature, and both worked really, really well. The excursion was a 60K

    Congratulations Mazda!

I would say the best thing about after market filters and air boxes is the induction noise. Any care I’ve put one on, its for the sound, not any performance change.

Yes--- I came here to say this. Every modern vehicle seems obligated to have some crazy rake to it, as it ifs squatting over giant drag radials.
