Deliveries are such great use cases for EVs. This is a vehicle that will never be pressed into extended range duty for a road trip, can be returned to a charging station every night, will drive predictable routes around which range can be managed, and depending on electrical rates, improve operating margins vs. gas.
Too bad you yanks never got the superlative Nissan Micra:
SUZUKI SAMURAI
Say what you will - at least it has AWD, which makes it better in my eyes than some of its competitors: I’m looking at you Kicks, C-HR, & Venue. And —- of course I’m coming from a place with winter, so AWD is relevant here.
ZDX was an even better example of the phenomenon of hate for what today would be a perfectly acceptable vehicle.
Commenting on a old article to say - I have one of these (2013, post facelift), its awesome, and the aftermarket support is ZERO.
Crossover is definitely the right form factor to launch with. Everything seems generally FINE- looks fine, range is ... fine. Two things —-
oooo, that’d make a good video clip for the next investor meeting
Nope - mine is 1.5 million - for $2500 CDN!
1,425,000 Kilometers —-For sale!
#savethepolo?
Remember the original RAV4? Like, the really interesting one? With big cladding, two doors, a weird convertible option and so on? THAT was a cool vehicle.
Polo = polio? Haha. I’m opposed to the post-colonialism classist sport that polo has become too.
Nissan’s got limited resources right now - personally, if it requires working with existing tooling to launch a new sports car, then I’m all for it.
Circular headlights in the design would put it right over the top!
I don’t disagree —- but some do it better than others, see my other comment re: Volvo & Mazda. This one just struck me because the design was the big thing reported on, and it felt particularly derivative.
LOL - yes, I know, I definitely played the part there. But - I stand by calling it out! There are companies that can create a unique look and feel around a great product - see: Mazda, Volvo.
For all its boldness, the design still manages to be derivative in so many ways.
