I’m not usually a hater, but I never, ever understood the passion folks have for this one.

Ah, good point. Even though at the time I thought Brosnan would be a good Bond, in the end I was not a fan of his films. I do feel like Neeson might have done a better job.

So two observations:

Yep, there is that old myth again that the ending to A.I. was not Kubrick’s.

I agree that Iron Man 2 is not very good. But I still put Love and Thunder at the bottom of the list.

Because you think he would have been a bad choice, or because you think Craig was a better one? I am a huge fan of the Daniel Craig take on Bond, but I do think Neeson would have been great at it as well.

That’s fair. And true, it is not “everyone”. But also, when I say I don’t think anyone is worried about “homework”, I am not saying people are fine with extra work. I am saying that I don’t think most people see the streaming stuff as necessary to watch, and therefore homework. They are fine with ignoring it.

First, nobody actually cares what “Phase” we are in. And no one is actually worried about “homework” in watching other shows. I never wound up seeing Wandavision (one of a few marvel streaming shows I have missed) yet I had zero problem following the Dr. Strange sequel (liked it quite a bit in fact).

So first, I do want to point out I am not saying I love everything coming out of this industry, just that they put out what people want to see, which is often more of what they have seen.

Hollywood is quite good at churning out what everyone fills the theater seats for.

Just backing you here on not knowing where the Scream promotion is. Seeing this article my first reaction was “oh right, there IS another one of these coming out. Who is in this one?”.

Well first, he is not comparing the slap to murder. He is comparing a joke about hair to a joke about someone’s murder. So yeah, it makes his point.

You could be right. My thinking on Gunn/Disney was that they let him go (I don’t personally think it was just cover) and still wanted that sweet GotG money, but it started looking like some of the cast were not going to play ball and fans were pretty upset. There would have been a good chance that any film that came

unless Goliath had a billion-dollar marketing budget backing him up that we never actually heard about.

Yes. While he sold “the franchise” the original versions were not included in that deal. So stuck we all are with the later ones.

Always loved that opening. My wife and I still rewatch these all the time.

What is wrong with people? Bicyclists have ZERO protection against cars.

Sooo.... he did not really “walk out of his meeting with marvel”.

Seriously. The truth is Tom Brady did NOT have opinions about the event. Basically it was “Was not paying attention, had a game to focus on, heard about it afterwards, I guess it got a lot of attention in the media.”

Completely agree with this. Cars 2 is an abomination. But I really enjoyed Cars 3.
