Be James “Roger-f’in-Moore” Bond for $17k? I would happily no-double-clutching-granny shift through the rest of my weekends in my British door stop.

Shit.

ford maverick.

Am I doing this right?

I think I can speak for many of my fellow CJ owners and give an emphatic “meh” as to whether or not we care.

I added a JET performance chip to my 94 Jeep cherokee XJ. I wanted to unlock the power of an OBDI, distributor ignition, AMC based, pushrod engine, and computers were obviously the way to do it.
(pic only semi related)

Aside from not gaining any power, it then required premium fuel. At least until it burnt out and

No way man, get out there and coat that car with a soapy ice sheet, then split your head open falling on ice in 8°f weather. That’s what a true enthusiast would do.

you missed a chance to go with “numerous probably’s = NP”

For me it will always be the F50. When I was a kid I had a die cast that I would stare at for hours. I loved that car. I wanted one of the 31 yellow ones produced.

sure it wasn’t really any faster than the F40, and it was shitty to drive on the street, and the design hasn’t aged that well, but it was the last Ferrari

yeah, learned that one the hard way when I tore a valve stem on my 72 cj5 off with a log. My ford spare rim wouldn’t clear the lockouts.

I wonder how many of the “wrong side” incidents are foreigners.

Junk. And I say this as an unashamed AMC era CJ5 owner and enthusiast.

I’m always amazed at the number of newer SUVs I see in parking lots that have essentially bald tires. You know, the only part of the car that effects, accelerating, stopping, handling, ride, fuel economy, and safety all at the same time.

At the very least, inspection should include minimum treadwear assessment.

Now

if you just leased a Land Rover for your daughter, you mower probably has a name and shows up in a truck once a week to take care of your lawn.

Well, she is both right and wrong. I can’t help you.
But nice car.

Bonus: My wife hated my beloved 96 tahoe 2-door.

Well, it depends on what your car is.

My girlfriend in highschool had a beige early 90's Taurus with an infuriating rod knock that got worse over time. Left us stranded at least 2x, and threatened to a few other times. Beige with beige mouse-fur interior.

Awesome.

Crack Pipe. Too many issues, but the need for new coil overs and a mystery CEL that will probably be a PITA to extinguish given the cars non-turbo origins, stand out as the deal breakers. Well into CP-land.

the only lust-worth GS for me was the rare gs460. The rest were meh.
