If you think that’s cool, RoboRosewater would blow your socks clean off.

Wow, I’ve played it in normal GB mode and SGB, but never dawned on me that it’s a “MWARP” sound effect un-enhanced, and a legit “HELP!” in SGB mode.
So I had a Super Game Boy, but I don’t believe I had Donkey Kong although I do remember playing it. I recall liking the transition from old school to new school (at the time, dammit), but I can’t for the life of me remember any details.
I’m glad Donkey Kong ‘94 ended up being a best seller on the system, because it was an incredible puzzle platformer and anyone who just thought it was just a port of the original DK missed out on something special.
less of a pro league and more of a marketing league
It was spoiled for me before I played it because it’s all anyone could talk about.
Even with updated graphics and voices, I’m not sure it could top the emotions I felt when Elmyra was telling her story of waiting for her husband to come home.
Brian David Marshall? Really? They can’t find one other grinder whose next in line, whose been busting there ass instead?
I did try out Project Stream. Played AC:O on it for around 20 hours. I have a 250 Mbps connection at my home and was hard wired. Still not nearly the experience of what I got once Ubisoft gave everyone who participated a copy of AC:O. Of all the issues I had, the graininess/fuzziness of the image was the largest…
Assuming you’re drunk or impaired in some way. My opinion is probably a bit colored, but since I live in one of top states for drunk drivers, I’m all for them. It’s a serious problem here.
Ding, ding, ding! They are looking for seat-belt violations #1, insurance problems #2, pot smokers #3, any other vehicle defect #4, and maybe drunks.
I made one of my frat’s pledges beat this mission for me. Definitely my most shameful act of hazing.
And I can tell you—both as someone who plays the game at a fairly high level, and as someone who knows many of the top players personally—that they are definitely NOT memorizing all of the stepcharts. The timing? Sure. That comes naturally as they get more familiar with the music. But there are over FIVE THOUSAND…
It's not memorized, players are familiar with the charts but don't memorize them, nor could they achieve the same scores without looking. It's like how you "know" your drive to work but couldn't do it blindfolded.
It’s not always memorized. Part of an expert player’s skill set is being able to compete on songs they’ve never seen before. As new songs are added to the game rather frequently, this happens with some regularity. There have even been entire tournaments based on “sight-reading,” where ALL of the songs and stepcharts…
I’ve been a Legacy player for about a decade, and the way I choose a deck is basically:
“Does it involve a combo that wins the game, or is capable of assembling cards to win through disruption moderately well a la control?”
I am a combo player, through and through. Got into Legacy because Painter’s Servant was spoiled…
Anyone who buys this game is doing the industry as a whole a disservice. Studios like Bethesda should not be rewarded for releasing unfinished games.
OK, try this: there’s still a stigma with young gamers here in the Philippines. Couple that with the stigma of drug use, and add in the context of legalized weed in the US and Europe, and you could see how that can compound to a bad image of visiting pro gamers the moment JUST ONE player “tests positive” for cannabis.
