this seems unnecessary to me. as far as tech goes, those terms very succinctly describe how things relate to each other, and aside from that, the concepts of “master/slave” transcend race. anyone can be a slave, or control others as a master.

if you order your martini with a skim (as in: a layer of ice crystals on the top), you can get it shaken. there are times when that is *definitely* the preferred way.

i actually think it holds its own, only because of the sheer commitment of Swayze and Snipes to their roles. it’s another overlooked gem, but Priscilla is definitely the winner in a side-by-side comparison.

nobody i know or have personally spoken with has a problem with masks or being asked to wear them in public spaces. i think the anti-maskers are attracting an outsized chunk of media attention right now, but hopefully that will go away soon and they will realize how ridiculous they look.

i’ve been a BTTF fan since it first ran in theaters, and i’m sure everyone’s covered all there is or needs to be said about it -- i just wanted to give some love to Witness. what a great movie that is. i would love to see a writeup on it. also, Mosquito Coast.
