it was a remarkably accurate depiction of a suburban high school experience in Colorado, even into the 80s, too.

to be fair, the Stonewall still IS a shabby bar, but that’s what makes it great... it totally feels like the local hangout it always has been. i even had some tipsy octogenarians — clearly regulars — flirt with me when my husband, sister-in-law, and i went in to visit the place on a trip to NYC. i loved everything…
and here i thought that only happened in Russian Doll.
TIL that a lot of people didn’t know what warthogs actually look like.
i can’t believe Paul’s Boutique was a bust, even though they mention it. that thing was a world-changer, and like the video says, really is the Sgt. Pepper of rap. it’s a masterpiece.
hmm, i have to disagree. he was great in the books, too, but he was never a tiresome character for me. i loved every second of him in the series.
i find both of them incredibly delicious, but if i hadn’t already tried both and loved them, i’m not sure i’d be swayed by someone who dips their fries in their milkshake. O_O
i’m with you, i’m just saying that i think the tradition in the GoT universe is that succeeding knights enter the stories, which is what she was doing.
well, i think the tradition is that others write the entries, so she couldn’t write her own (but i wish she would have at least put her name at the top of a page!), and she’s one of the last living knights who knew jaime best, so it made sense to me.
i frequently bring a fresh baked loaf of home-made bread. even in this gluten-averse time, i’ve never seen a loaf stick around long.
this is ridiculous. if one is too busy to take a break and eat properly, then order something that is more conducive to your schedule and situation. btw, many states, if not all, have laws that require you to have time to sit and eat your lunch, away from your work. it’s healthier.
same, and agreed.
Bronn was promised the Lord of Highgarden, the wealthiest part of Westeros. It makes total sense that he would be made the Master of Coin. Aside from his new status as a Lord, he and Tyrion go way back, and understand each other, as well.
me too.
he was a soldier, trained from birth to wait for orders and follow them. he killed random soldiers because he was ordered to. he didn’t kill Snow for the same reason -- those were his orders.
i don’t think they did. i need to re-watch.
soooo, my question is: why does the wall even exist anymore? didn’t Bran the Builder infuse it with magic to stay up? without the Night King or any need for the Night’s Watch at all, why does it need to stand? wouldn’t the magic fade, and with summer coming, wouldn’t it... melt, uniting the north as one unbroken land?
Bronn as Master of Coin is indeed Genius with a capital G.
and he’s LORD Davos now! yeessssssss
the theory that history is going to repeat, and Tyrion mirrors his brother’s deeds and becomes the Queenslayer to save the kingdom is my bet. i can’t believe it’s not on the list.
