To be honest, I don’t watch it very much. And I never set out to watch it. But I will occasionally watch it, which is more than I can say for college baseball...

I’m not sure this logic works. People and organizations don’t make optimal economic decisions all the time and aren’t always great at projecting things. Watch the last “Last Week Tonight” about paid time off for a great and funny example. If individuals and organizations make bad decisions, isn’t it possible for a

While it may not be “better” I really enjoy watching softball players pitch. That windup is awesome. Is it better than baseball? Maybe not. But with that pitching I’d be hardpressed to call it worse.

As a working class/ lower-middle class resident of Baltimore City, I was one of the people who was negatively impacted economically by the draconian measures that the city government put onto the city. It wasn’t martial law, but it was still ridiculous. Also, I didn’t cancel the baseball game, the Orioles chose to.

I think it's that they made it sound like everyone was going to get paid and then cheaped out after getting good publicity. And it would be harder to blame them if they weren't so cheap all the time...

While I don't agree that it was martial law, it was quite clear that there was no major threat nor reason for the police/national guard to be there, especially later in the week. It was absurd. There was nothing that rose to the level of rioting and the thing that was inciting the most violence was the presence of the

Yes, life can sometimes be unfair. But I think it's reasonable that we should try to make it as fair as possible. Other occupations can still get paid when someone else cancels (such as doctors still charging cancellation fees etc.) why not them? Is fairness not a value worth pursuing as much as possible even if it's

That is truly the highest form of flattery.

But you had seen other types of tacos, right?

If you don’t mind me asking, where were you raised? It’s interesting to hear you didn’t see a taco until you were 18...

Yeah, I’m not a fan of things like that. I remember in Middle School realizing that when people ask “How are you?” that they usually don’t actually want to hear the answer, they just want to hear “I’m fine.”

Everybody with a six-pack can survive vacuums using only plastic bags and rubber bands. It’s quite obvious you’ve never had one.

As long as everyone is admitting knowledge gaps: it wasn’t until my early twenties that I learned that fish tacos were food and not (just) slang for female genitalia.

I think the question is who gets the right to decide the definition of something? If it is the people who made it originally, then the Germans can call it whatever they want, but it’s not bourbon...

I hope these people were invited...

When I was in college I bartended at burger restaurant.

That’s a talent!

Grits can be not good. It is possible to make really bland grits. I guess they’re always ok, but not always good.
