No, no. I know how to spell Aphrodite. But could you spell "mighty" again fo me. I forget if it has I "f" or two...

I haven't dealt with those specifically. I have had the general Christian handouts though. My fantasy, which I wouldn't act on because it costs money and I'm not really that much of an ass, involves carrying around tiny copies of The Origin of The Species and passing them out. I don't think they exist, and if they did

I did hear it! It was really compelling. I felt the desire to write an email to all the reporters at This American Life and to tell them that I actually like their voices. I know it shouldn't matter, but I think it kind of does. It's just natural... And, unfortunately, I can't say I do or don't miss Lindy. I'm more of

I'm not a lawyer at all, and I'm pretty sure this would/could never happen, but I would love to see those people charged with forgery...

From now on, when I get upset but don't have a good reason, it's because you misspelt Jesus. Not you as in the OP, just whoever happens to be around...

Here is how I see it. When you travel somewhere there is an expectation that you should try and understand, and to a reasonable point, cater to the customs of another culture. Here, there was a culture that was established for 50 weeks a year, and for 2 of them there were people coming in, who were clearly from a

Wow... Did he... Did he actually listen to you and stop? I'm not sure what to say. I don't think I've ever seen something like that happen... You could make a ton of money with your magical troll destroying powers!

I feel like I would have gone over my degrees, pointed out where that landed me, and then talk about how successful Gates and Zuckerberg were as dropouts.

I feel like their being Christians is relevant. He got a picture of Jesus as a tip. I don't think that atheists, jews, hindus, etc. do that. Also, as a someone who is not Christian and was raised in on the East Coast, seeing the extent of religiosity of can be pretty striking...

No. Is it so ridiculous that someone else could have a different view from you? I would respond in more detail, but I feel like everything you said has already been covered if you read further down...

You are correct that my analogy is not a perfect one. I would point out that in my analogy there also aren't things that sound like "CD" in the store that aren't CDs...

I think my Baltimore is showing. I should, perhaps, rephrase that a customer does not have a right to stay ignorant when presented with evidence from a more knowledgeable party. I absolutely have gone shopping and learned about things I wanted to buy. But I have accepted that the people who work at the store know more

My reading was that she was trying to explain. She asked for the customer to come around to the window. My (granted, very limited) experience ordering off of speakers tells me that those are not the best way to go through a long/polite explanation. They work best for people who know the system and know what they want.

1) She didn't know, she could have guessed, but given that the order was yelled at her, I can't imagine the hellfire if she was wrong about the made up drink.

Is it possible to be down the middle on this? Pineapple does not belong on a good pizza. But if you're getting a bad/not so good (or whatever) pizza (Dominoes, Papa John's etc.) Pineapple and Banana Peppers will totally make it better...

Have you ever had pineapple and banana peppers on a pizza? It's the best! Well, maybe not the best. But it's pretty great! Especially if you're getting pizza from a not so great place....

Thanks for the reply. I feel like all the ones I've seen are pretty clear that you should tip on the pregroupon total (not that I need that reminder). Anyway, it's good to get some affirmation that I wasn't being a dick. I've never been a server but I've worked in customer service before and have a basic level of

Sometimes, I stumble across a post that is exactly what I would have said. A star is not really enough, but it will have to do. Although, if I may be so bold, I may have added wings to the list, because, you know, awesomeness.

I have an honest question, but let me start by saying I am in no way defending this guy. This guy was being an asshole. I can't imagine ever not tipping. And using the word "retarded" is, well, I don't feel the need to preach to the choir. Everyone on here seems to be on the same page...

As a Ravens fan, I ask why is it that winning a Super Bowl is the only measure of success? They've broken NFL records and went to 2 more Super Bowls since Spygate... They have had, by most standards, a lot of success since Spygate. This attack seems offbase.
