I’ve got to disagree, I like them for some reason. Not sure why. Maybe because I was a formative high school student when they dropped.
User name checks out. Is a complete joker to not be taken seriously.
The brand Mercedes is named after the daughter of one of the Spanish financiers/founders of the company; it was a popular name in Spain hundreds of years before it became an automobile brand.
The name came before the car, as Mr. Jellinek would be happy to confirm.
A TDI Jetta Sportwagen is a great choice! But Smarts and VWs would be as obvious choices for me as Jeeps would be for David Tracy, so I’m trying to branch out. lol
Yet you ignored a manual, diesel wagon? TDI Jetta Sportwagons are a steal right now. Lightly used, recall repaired and they come with a manufacturer’s warranty. For a person laying down over 1,000 miles a week, that guy needs one.
It’s not about the brand, it’s about the car. And if you want a full wagon, the TourX is the one that will also perform. It’s a solid car.
Everything Delahaye made was gorgeous.

I will NOT let you ruin my childhood!!! What’s next - you are going to tell me that they were looping the background sounds of the A-Team van and it really didn’t have a 20-speed transmission and it wasn’t in Park even though I could see the column shifter when BA Baracus was driving?!?!?! Please don’t do this to me.
That might have been bad for Ford, but turned out pretty good for the auto industry in general.
Exactly. Not on autopilot (for nearly a minute before the crash) and the driver’s foot was on the throttle. This is a bad driver story, not a Tesla story. The only reason we’re talking about it is because Teslas have cameras built in and they capture bad driver behavior and go viral.
68-72 was the best era of C3.
