Or, getting impaled if you have a 20MPH fender bender.

Now playing

This.  I’d type everything out but this old Top Gear video kinda does the business.

Saab I get. It is Subaru I cannot wrap my head around.

No, I’m worse than that. I’m a centrist who peddles in late night ironic juxtaposition. CAN YOU IMAGINE?

Why not a TSX wagon! They have 240hp, a 7k redline, paddle shifters to make the old-school 5A more lively, and a nice suspension. They have also aged beautifully. A big guy should be able to fit along with 3 other people AND the dogs in the back! They can be had under $15k and are reliable as the day is long.

Don’t kink shame.

A Pontiac Vibe? Really?

The economy of scale as you mentioned is important. I’ll still argue that the design of the brands are specific. Porsche has always been understated. Corvette has always been more loud in their approach. German cars have always been more conservative in design. If GM did go with more smooth lines couldn’t you argue

Porsche is a luxury brand. Their target market is high end. Their R&D and manufacturing starts at the 911. The Cayman and Boxster re-use those items that have already been in the 911. It all trickles down to the entry level cars. This is cost savings.

I would prefer they keep the materials a little cheaper so it DOES NOT cost $200k.

It’s a car that can compete with supercars for 1/3 (or less) of the price, yet you’re complaining that not everything is top-end luxury? If they dolled up the interior and cut corners on the performance, the middle aged white dads who actually buy these cars would be up in arms. They saw the two routes available to

Business in the front, party in the back!

Really?  You can tell all of that in a blurry shitty image from a cell phone camera?  Man, you are absolutely incredible!

A friend of mine just bought one to replace his Spark EV and add SUV capability to his household, and he has nothing but positive to say about it so far.

Priorities...

That's about the same range as my leased 2018 i3.  In 1 yr and 10k miles I've had to abort 0 trips due to range.  Daily commute is no more than 60 miles, if we have to drive further just take the Town and Country (which I hope to replace with a VW microvan ev in 2ish yrs)

I’ve been all excited about the Kona EV. I want that to be my next car. The range is great and the interior features are top. Plus it has a roof rack.

I can understand the range issue. I wanted to buy one earlier this year, but I couldn’t buy a new one in my state(KY). What about an i3? I ended up buying a Stinger GT but will most likely trade it in about 2-3 years for a Kona EV.
