I very sincerely doubt they crammed the whole game into a 6gb demo.

What you are saying:
Alright, one last time. I can’t tell if you are an idiot, or a person who’s actually pretty smart, but doesn’t know how to interact with other human beings.
Well, it’s pretty clear that further dialog won’t get us much further. You’re correct. Speculation is not facts. This being said, it’s still worthwhile. What you do is you accumulate facts, and you draw reasonable conclusions. This is what people do with reviews, this is what people do with business decisions, etc.…
This is funny. I like where you get all full caps in laying out a strawman argument (“Reviews are simply OPINIONS. Not facts. You should NOT determine your purchase based entirely on a review.”) and ignore what I actually said, even though you quoted it (“You read reviews, consider them in light of what you’ve seen,…
Honestly, I have no idea why they went to friday. Friday that is also cinco de mayo. Friday that is also the release of Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2. It’s POSSIBLE that sales data suggests it’s better, but why the heck would Bethesda alone have that sales data? It seems strange to me. Especially with the lack of…
Bethesda and Zenimax are the same thing. One of the founders of Bethesda is also one of the founders of Zenimax. Even though they are split up, so that there is the parent company and subsidiaries, their entire history is tied together. The publishing decisions that Zenimax makes don’t reflect the games that Bethesday…
Everything has release days for these kinds of reasons. It’s also cheaper to get all deliveries on the same day (which everyone around the world does). The other reason? Picking a day and sticking to that day creates a sense of expectation and anticipation. You pick up a game or or book, or music album on tuesday,…
DOOM was great, and did well, and Dishonored 2 was also fantastic: better than the 1st, really—only its sales were something like 35% lower in the first week (because their weren’t reviews). The disruptions of norms and refusal to play nice is just a foolish way to try and make money.
Friday releases for AAA titles is not at all common. It’s not entirely unheard of, but it’s definitely not common. I’m not mad about a lack of reviews, but it does make me refuse to buy the game.
Man, Bethesda sure does know how to support their game launches. Launching on a Friday instead of a Tuesday? Not giving anyone advance copies? Going after indie game developers who use a very common word in a very distinctive title in a very different game?
As a gamer in his mid-thirties: you make it fit how you want it to fit.
Dude: it’s both.
There’s been a decent amount of press/hype for it, and a demo is getting released at the end of this week. I think it has a really solid chance of being a hit.
It really isn’t. It saves so, so, so much time. Because as soon as a game exists for the public, they want information, they want updates, etc. If the game gets cancelled, as plenty of games do, they will want to know why, they will want what went wrong, they want blame, etc. If they don’t know that a game exists: no…
No. They’re in the video too, and I doubt their effects skills are that good. In the second video, he’s not wearing them though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept them locked up except when they needed the shots.
What complete editions? They don’t release versions of the games that include all the DLC.

Why can’t people spend 5 seconds googling things? https://www.thrillist.com/drink/nation/how-much-caffeine-is-actually-in-your-coffee-from-dunkin-to-starbucks
Dude, they roast the hell out of their coffee, but they don’t use robusta beans at all. The reason their caffeine content is “high” (and it’s generally around 2x that of dunkin donuts, I have no idea where you’re getting 5) is because they have a higher beans/water ratio than other places.
When people talk about Deus Ex, I always feel like a crazy person. It loved the game, and still have a very fond place for it in my heart, as the freedom is pretty freaking great, but why do people think this is good writing, or even mildly prescient? I feel like I’m being gaslighted.
