It already IS a paperback. This isn’t a nice, hardcover copy running $55, it’s a slim little 6x9 paperback.

Oh, it sounds incredible. I just find these kinds of practices to be frustrating at best. There isn’t any research here, or any peer review, and any monetary outlay is literally the same for any kind of nonfiction publication, and had this been put out by any other publisher, they would be seeking to reach a wide…
What a great writeup. I was about to go and buy the book and then I saw that this is a “textbook” company, and thus the price is hilariously inflated. A 224 page B&W paperback consisting entirely of essays should cost $15-20. With exceptions, that price goes up a little, but this is literally 3x as much as it should…
The game is fun, but ugh, the crowds. And people seeing me playing and trying to just talk to me. Don’t talk to me. I play games and read books to AVOID talking to strangers. If I was going to socialize, I would be in a bar, where I can imbibe enough alcohol to make the experience pleasant.
yup.
yup.
Definitely not working. Putting it in cart and going to checkout shows the same price.

Does it, though? I mean, they explain some of the character interactions that feel completely out of place, but the writing in all of it is bleh. The running (when they don’t have you backtracking) is great, it looks good, and mostly feels good, but all of the story stuff is gag inducingly bad.
Yes, a complete idiot.
I LOVE that followup. Guys, how the hell do you think that stealing it from a wallpaper site (that doesn’t actually give authorization for commercial use in any way) was any better than stealing it from the firewatch developers? I mean, the designer that did this was a bit of a bonehead, but the person that’s doing…
Noooo, I really liked this!
They added the ability to “just” watch the videos for that reason.
What are you talking about? Dorne is like 3 days away from Meereen by ship (it’s less than 500 miles). And he left BEFORE the siege started. Which was before Dany came back. Before the navy of the masters was defeated. And then their ships were captured. And converted and fixed, etc. You’re making a very silly mistake…
Hey, thanks for the update!
the 47 students mention (five non-white, 42 white) were offered admissions with LOWER test scores. The 168 students denied were non-white students with HIGHER test scores. The university rejected a lot of other people, but they mostly had lower test scores, on the whole. These are merely some of the examples to show…
Think about your body position when you draw. You’re probably not sitting straight up, in a good posture, but hunched over. Putting the desk at an angle like this helps push your entire body position into the upright, while still getting that same angle of approach. It’s awkward at first (you get so used to hunching…
Oh, get over it. The Master system to Genesis was 3 years. NES to SNES was 6 years. SNES to N64 was 5. N64 to GameCube was 5. Saturn to Dreamcast was 4. Gamecube to Wii was 5. PS to PS2 was 5. PS2 to PS3 was 6. Xbox to Xbox 360 was 4. The only gap we’ve EVER seen was xbox 360 to xb1 and PS3 to PS4 (both 7 years).
Well, I mean, yeah. But then again, part of the glory of those moments was that those aren’t things that are “trailer” moments. They felt organic to the characters, and were things you had to explore for it to work.
It’s not the hate on pouches, rather that basically Liefeld just went nuts adding pouches to everything. They’re great, but in limited use.
I would guess that it’s less about legal liability and more about PR. This goes from: MS screwed up and was a jerk about it to: MS screwed up, but was generous about the whole ordeal.
Through the Chapter 11 process, we will continue normal operations and maintain that same editorial focus. That means covering E3 next week, reporting about gaming culture in the months to come and, of course, writing the best possible review of Half-Life 3 when it finally comes out.
