I think the only times I turned off the turbo button was when games ran super fast and was unplayable. But besides that, keep that button on!
Agreed. I love daily driving my 2006.5 1st gen Scion xB. My first 06 xB had 286k miles before I gave it to a friend. This one is at 165k and going strong. So easy and cheap to maintain. Light and tossable to drive. And it’s HUGE inside.
I’ve driven both, and the Acura is definitely a step up in terms of NVH, soft touch materials. It has more of a premium feel and it handles tighter than the Pilot. The Pilot is great on its own...it’s bigger inside (if you need a functional 3rd row), but it definitely feels more floaty compared to the MDX. And you’ll…
But it looked so cool when it opened. :) Had one...can confirm.
It’s sad that it’s had to come to that at these shows. I was surprised when I went to the Tokyo Auto Salon that none of that was removed from the cars...because no one would steal it. I wonder what it’s like at the European car shows.
Beautiful pics Ken! It’s now on my list of roads to drive the next time I’m in Japan.
The AE86 is mine.
Unfortunately I’m usually just using my iPhone camera (these shots were from my iPhone 7+). This is probably my favorite...we were shooting a video in Bear Mtn:
Totally would buy.
Thanks for all the great pics (and now background images)! A calendar would be a great idea...I’d definitely buy one!
Awesome! Here’s a slightly related pic of my car. :)
Saved image as wallpaper. :)
This is why I started using dash cam...they’re cheap enough (Anker’s ROAV series is pretty good for the money), and it’ll alleviate most of these types of disputes.
I’ve always enjoyed watching the video Red Bull made for the proposed NY/NJ track...the sound of a F1 car running through the tunnel was awesome.
U of Wisconsin Madison has a bar in the student union. I was surprised when I visited (we didn’t have one when I went to Rutgers).
I never got to meet him, but I did attend a 3 day Panoz racing school class at Road Atlanta (with Joe Foster as my instructor). Amazing track with some fun cars. I’ll never forget my experience there. Thank you Dr. Panoz for your contributions to motorsport.
Do it. Plus, flip up headlights are the best.
I had a 2001 SLK for about 18 months, and during that time it had to go to the dealer once because the top wasn’t opening/closing well. Eventually MB took the car back because they couldn’t figure out why the alarm kept going off by itself. Went to the dealer 14 times in those 18 months. Maybe mine was “special”.
I saw a midnight purple R34 GTR in person, and goodness that color is amazing.
