One of the big advantages for the mega-corporations, like Google and Amazon is that they can throw money at projects like this. Microsoft does this too, in part because part of Microsoft’s DNA is a fear of missing “the next big thing” in tech.

Eye strain from LED displays is not a consistent thing. Some people have the problem, where as Matthew describes, a few hours staring at the screen and his eyes hurt. Personally, I do not have much of a problem. I stare at LCDs a lot, since computers are both my job and my hobby.

Clone isn’t quite the right term, but if the copy is perfect, then it thinks it is me, and if I die in the box, and the copy doesn’t know, then is there, in a metaphysical sense a difference?
