This is not a dig at your article, but the title makes me go....well, duh.

The problem is that you are not the typical user that Microsoft is thinking about. Neither am I.

I provide for your contemplation, one simple task...

The civil war wasn’t for states rights it was for slavery.

She’s almost certainly racist. She’s undeniably a moron. Anyone with more than two brain cells could see that this was not going to end well. She can make all the excuses she wants, but mentioning “the blacks” and then “People in Mississippi” virtually on top of one another is obviously going to lead to the conclusion

I read that copy of Car and Driver in 1972...I was a subscriber. I was only 15. I thought that the Brubaker Box was the coolest car I had ever seen. I wanted one so bad. It was joined on my coolest car list by the Bricklin SV-1 in 1974.

White Americans,

One of the big advantages for the mega-corporations, like Google and Amazon is that they can throw money at projects like this. Microsoft does this too, in part because part of Microsoft’s DNA is a fear of missing “the next big thing” in tech.

But Lost was good first and foremost because it had likeable, engaging characters. Not because of the mysteries. Mysteries were gravy.

Damn.  There are days when it is embarrassing to be white.

Eye strain from LED displays is not a consistent thing. Some people have the problem, where as Matthew describes, a few hours staring at the screen and his eyes hurt. Personally, I do not have much of a problem. I stare at LCDs a lot, since computers are both my job and my hobby.

Trump doesn’t know what covid-19 stands for (it’s coronavirus 2019, the year it was discovered)

I have very few cannot-eat-without scenarios.

Thanks.

I have had this same thought several times since I first read this book. My first PC was a 286 with two 40MB MFM hard drives. Now, I have a microSD card with 256GB.

I understand the logic. I am referring to perspective. Clone isn’t quite the right term, but if the copy is perfect, then it thinks it is me, and if I die in the box, and the copy doesn’t know, then is there, in a metaphysical sense a difference? The new me has no memory of dying, and it remembers everything I did,

I like it, but I think it needs a bit more length behind the cab.  Possibly the whole length seen in the lead-in picture, but without the extra doors.

I agree on quantum teleportation...except...

I think you missed an important part of the narrative about this rally.

In fact, once you have the pattern, that quantum snapshot, can’t you make as many as you have energy for?
