I dunno. I kinda feel sad for killing zombies if they still look very much like humans (Resident Evil, Left 4 Dead). The Necromorphs in Dead Space, accordingly, don't have this effect on me. Really, killing zombies also makes me feel guilty because I'm gunning down countless people who aren't even mentally aware

And by "AAA" games, you mean ... ? (I'm asking for a definition, not examples.)

By "action" games, do you mean shooting games, platform-jumping games, racing games, or what are you talking about? And by "AAA" games, are you talking about games that sell especially well? The Xbox 360's list of its highest-selling games includes lots of shooters; the Wii's is made up of fitness games, console and

The gaming industry.

"Action games will always be about the action" With respect, have you seen the kinds of elaborate discussions and even perhaps arguments that can take place over games such as Mass Effect, Halo, or Bioshock? Or have you read the novels of any of these series? (I can't say I've read the Bioshock: Rapture novel, but

Thanks for your comments, but with respect, I don't understand your arguments as to how we're at the "nadir" of gaming. You speak as though "the megapublishers" are representative of the industry as a whole, which I don't think is a fair statement, even of mainstream games. What "megapublishers" do you keep

I can kind of "see what the person is going for," but I think the analogy is somewhat vague. What is "visceral pleasure?" At any rate, over the past decade, there seems to have been a sharp desire, both in industry and consumer demand, for a greater emphasis on story, not only for giving context to the player's

I was totally the same way! Perhaps at some point, if you would like, we could add each other on Facebook for the sake of the Avengers game. I would be more than happy to help you out.

It is most certainly my pleasure! If you enjoy the game, let me know, and perhaps we can add each other on Facebook. I'd be more than happy to help you out.

Hooray! =D Hearting you for understanding, let alone loving my profile picture's reference.

Katara's so sweet.

So this is already one of the most wonderfully produced cartoons I've ever seen. Thanks again!

I hope it got a sequel called Super Game of Thrones.

Didn't know that. Thanks!

Oops, I was talking about the original Avatar series, sorry.

I've never seen this show (though I'm strongly considering checking out the DVDs from one of the nearby libraries), but I've always heard great things about it. And that picture is my new background wallpaper, thanks.

Fair enough. Better late than never (the Others, magic, etc.), I suppose, if they were going to be used to start with. Truth be told, if I were writing a series, I would want to have the final book done (or pretty close to it) before I sent the first off for publishing. Maybe that doesn't give a lot of room for

Hodor would be amazing. :-D I do wish the Others had done anything of importance in the first two books other than serving as the object of a sort of profanity. To be honest I wish George would have "gone all the way" and made magic either a very present part of the universe, or left it out altogether. By the time

Fair enough, thanks for your well-supported arguments.
