That is a good question. I think your point about this possibly looking bad from a journalistic standpoint is very interesting. I was thinking about this recently, after a poorly designed promotion from Electronic Arts ended up giving everyone $20 worth of free credit on the Origin store. EA's honoring of that deal…
Thank you very much. =) That was a much more polite and well constructed post than most of the responses I got, back when I typed this ... whenever I typed it (last June, apparently). I'm amazed you found it, and I'm more amazed you took the time to write all this out. I'm very grateful for it.
If you don't care for permadeath, I recommend not playing FTL: Faster Than Light.
Thanks for your recommendation!
Thanks!
Good thing I have the demo on a disc (thanks, OXM), which I liked well enough.
This is one of the most hilarious comments I've ever read on Kotaku. Thanks for the laughter. :-D
Oh, no problem! =)
That is some really good artwork.
I loved the forums, but I also remember the massive amounts of spam, trolling, and cursing that look e d l i k e t h i s before the forums were shut down. Nsider2 seems to be doing well — http://nsider2.com/forums/ — but I'm not active there.
Truth be told, I do remember the questionable framerate, though it never bothered me personally. (Kind of bizarre for what's really a very, very small game world to have such problems, though.)
I played so, so much of Wild World for the DS. I got hooked on the game and then played it off and on for about a year until I'd done pretty much everything there was to do, at which point I gave all my good stuff to a close friend of mine (who, sadly, I've not heard from since then—granted, we met on the Nintendo…
That is nice work.
That's basically what I did when I tried out Blood Money — I let several ads run in a row in order to save up play time.
Or you can play that game free on Square-Enix's Core Online service — http://beta.coreonline.com/hitman-blood-money/ — provided you're willing to sit through ads.
Lots of THQ stuff is on sale on GameFly, actually. Get Dawn of War II: Retribution! It's a standalone expansion, and at $6 with that coupon code (I paid more than that when everything Warhammer 40,000 was on sale on Steam several months ago), it's a fantastic deal! Oh, and Space Marine is on sale as well.
Thanks for your comment! It's been quite a while since I really looked at turian military tactics all that much, so I don't remember much other than their dealings with humans.
That is lovely!
Yeah, I would like to see more variations in skin tone for a given person, such as freckles or whatever.
