Hmm, didn't know that. Thanks!
That's ... disturbing that your mother didn't think of you as a normal child just because you wanted a video game.
It looks like you didn't really mention the notion of using sand as a weapon, unless I missed it (in which case, I apologize, but I looked several times). I remember doing this once—once—in the demo, and while it was a neat environmental concept, it felt so underutilized it may as well have not even been there. Does…
So basically it's the same thing that happens whenever a game tries to kill WoW?
I didn't know about Killzone 2, thanks, but I'm pretty sure I remember the first Killzone (on PS2) being labeled as a "Halo-killer." That worked out well, didn't it?
From what I played of the demo, the concept of certain really large buildings/units having multiple places to attack is something I'd like to see more of in an RTS.
Wasn't Killzone also supposed to be a Halo killer, or whatever?
Dungeons & Dragons Online is now on Steam, and Steam's offering the Half-Orc race for $10 instead of $20, along with a stats-boosting trinket and 1,000 Turbine points (about $13 worth of premium currency—which, if DDO is like LotRO, can be earned through regular gameplay, albeit usually rather slowly).
I actually really enjoyed what I played of Mission: Impossible on a rental, and I'm pretty sure I remember seeing prerelease press for the game (maybe concept art or prerelease screens?) before the N64 even came out. Also, Charleston, SC for so many wins.
The Social Network was incredible, and the dialogue was pretty much perfect from start to finish, complete with call-backs to so many earlier lines that even a random reference to Victoria's Secret early on becomes relevant.
Fair enough, thanks.
"Still wish I could marry one ..."
If you do decide to leave Kotaku, KingKellogg and the rest of us would love to have you at our Speak-Up replacement here.
If you enjoy magic, have you tried using an Altmer?
Everything I've heard about the premise sounds like Mulan all over again. Mulan was a wonderful film, but I got the message half my life ago.
Thank you so much!
Thank you very, very much! I will make a note of this!
I read the manuals for all of the box games I play, so that would definitely help. And thanks! (Remember the old days of Playstation demos, where in-game tutorials weren't really a "thing," but you were given a screen of what ALL the buttons did, all at once, before the demo started?)
So I went and looked up Baka to Test, and this actually sounds really, really interesting, assuming it's not by chance some sort of weird "porn before plot" thing. Thanks for mentioning it, though.
