To answer the question of how is the car here and how is it legal...

/endthread

No

Extremely sad, words are hard to find.

Not ironic at all. They want fair competition. They want the same regs for Uber as for traditional livery services. There has to be a minimum of regulation to protect public safety. They also could have thrown pubic safety to the wind and deregulated the traditional livery services from such checks and insurance, but

No, putting riders first as in we want them to do the very MINIMUM in making sure the people driving for uber aren’t rapists or people with a history of violent crime. Blaming uber for drunk driving is like blaming a car manufacturer for a death that is the result of reckless driving in a vehicle made by that

It’s not Uber’s job to stop people from making bad decisions. That said, given the slew of recent bad publicity from Uber drivers attacking/raping passengers, it looks really damn bad when they refuse to undergo stricter background checks for their drivers and higher insurance premiums.

Ugh. Something about the Apple Watch just says “DOUCHE” to me right now. Maybe that will wear off.

Excuse some of us for predating the internet.

I came of age in the 80’s and I do like the Testarossa, but the 288 GTO is still my all time favorite. I really like the 512 BBi too.

I’d be a bit lenient if they actually owned up to their mistake instead of going to the NHTSA to claim a “Unintended Acceleration” event.

NHTSA, please help. my wife is a bad driver and gets pissed at me when i say so. she blames the car “does something funny. its not grounded to the ground like the commercial says.” no self respecting lawyer will help her sue Toyota. can you waste our tax dollars and test this so i can be right just this one time. it

I just realized that these Letters to Doug are the car enthusiast version of SBEMAIL. Now when I picture Doug, he will forever be wearing a luchador mask.

Buy Here Pay Here Lots are a whole crazy animal. I had contracts with some lots for GPS tracking devices. The devices we sold and installed could track the car as well as disable the starter for non-payment and about 60% off all devices installed would get engaged at some point. The Buy Here Pay Here dealers are

I didn’t star your comment so much as I starred whatever drugs you are on today.

Or maybe a Ford F-150 or Chevy Silverado. Owning a big, tough, cushy, gas-guzzling pickup truck is about as American as it gets.

Hah! This column isn’t designed to address those cars — I am referring to the absolutely high end of the segment, which the Americans sort of abandoned years before you’re talking about. The US hasn’t had a true S-Class competitor since I’ve been alive.

Are we sure its a LaFerrari and not a FaLerrari? A cheap knockoff?
