John Oliver’s show is a bit different though, don’t you think? The way he picks one very specific issue each week and really DIVES into that shit for 20 minutes straight... I’m not saying it would be impossible for him to do more than one show per week, but it’s a different approach than the shows you’re comparing it

How about we ditch Labor Day altogether for International Workers Day?

All for it. But who could ever match the glorious Kristin? Her combo platter of faux glam, cheesi(less)ness, and banality will be hard to beat.

Seconded

Completely serious request: Can we have another “500 days of” series? The Kristin one was a ton of fun, and a great way to make friends with other commenters.

I took a Shakespeare class my senior year of high school and our teacher showed us Taymor’s Titus. I was completely intrigued. I have it on DVD, but I would love to see it on the big screen as well.

Well when you are a privileged shitstain and no one has ever told you no, I imagine a slap on the wrist would be pretty traumatic.

It’ll be half-hour segments of Grandpa Joe smoking ditch weed while rocking aviators in a camaro. Uncle Tim will continually remind him to wear his seatbelt while breaking into intermittent harmonica solos. They’ll occasionally prank call Boehner and make friendship bracelets for Obama.

It’s just given us this wonderful exchange, though:

where he dodged (yet another) question about Hillary Clinton’s private email usage

As is Anthony Hopkins in it. He is just amazing.

It is, however, entirely ridiculous to bring up said trauma as a reason to lighten his sentence, which was the context of the letter.

Taymor’s Titus is criminally underrated.

Well bikies are well know as some of the most terrifying members of society....

Everybody is aware of what he meant, which is why people are making fun of his statements. He’s claiming that his son has fucking PTSD because he sexually assaulted someone and got caught for it. It’s fucking ridiculous, infuriating, and completely lacking in any self-awareness. His father’s gross statements deserve

Being forced to be in contact with genuine human beings capable of empathy and honor (AND having possession of penises, pale skin, a similarly bright future track, and NOT being despicable narcissists) probably shocked the shit out of Brock.

Also, maybe, anxiety over having to face the consequences of his actions? He's a fucking rapist, boo hoo for his poor appetite. Not concerned for the actual victim, experiencing actual PTSD though? Just the rapist and his feelings.

Thanks. I actually thought he was being sarcastic at first, because what.........................

As long as the protestors don’t resort to violent action or harass his family and friends, I think this is an appropriate form of expressing anger about an obvious injustice. In lieu of a prison sentence, Turner will have to endure this humiliating protest and live with the shame forever, even if the actual
