I really wish I could make it to NYC for that. I would love to see Titus on the big screen. That’s a personal favorite of mine, and a brilliant adaptation of the play.

Precisely. And his anxiety was for naught, because he didn’t even serve out his entire paltry sentence anyway. Sure, there are protesters out there now, but they will dissipate soon. He’ll go on with his life. He’ll finish school, get a job. He may have some restrictions on where he can live or work, but he’ll still

Those cyclists gave him quite the jitters, I tell you what.

His father wrote a disgusting letter to the judge, saying his son shouldn’t be punished for “twenty minutes of action” and whinging about him not enjoying steak and snacks anymore. And I’m sorry, that doesn’t sound like PTSD to me. What on earth would he even have PTSD from? From him raping someone? From being caught

Yes, my heart breaks for the PTSD suffered by the rapist who got caught, convicted, and was punished with a slap on the wrist.

She also committed her crimes in a different country with a different set of laws from the US.

And Plastic People was the best possible choice for this. Bravo.

You having a video clip or Zappa song for everything is what I miss most about being around here regularly.

Yeah well, GM probably won’t exist for much longer anyway, so the issue will resolve itself anyway.

I wasn’t trying to be a brat or anything, I’m just trying to figure out what the deal is here, and someone else just posted the same thing happened to them. I’ve scanned with updated software for malware and viruses, have adblocks in place, and it happens on both of the devices I use. And since GM does use them for

I have an adblocker in place. But since it’s happening on my phone too, and since Gawker uses skimlinks for extra revenue, I figured it was something to do with the site itself.

I just x out of them.

I’ve done both, malware bytes and the latest version of Kaspersky, and it happens on my phone too.

This is the link it takes me to. It says I must have clicked a broken link along the way, but how is it possible when it happens every single time, on every link I click, on sites that aren’t even related to each other and just used as sources for stories? http://go.redirectingat.com/?rdrflb=1

Lucky! It’s happening on pretty much every GM site for me, I can’t even click on links that lead to non-GM websites in stories because it redirects to this skimlinks bullshit and never once actually takes me to the website. It’s going on with all of my browsers, too.

This is a bit off topic, but I have to ask something. Is anyone else constantly getting redirected to a website called skimlinks whenever they try to switch to the main Gawker page, or to a story from one of the other GM sites cross-posted to another blog? It’s making it almost impossible to read half of the content

I recall it because I am a fan of the series The Shield. He told the wife that since she was a runner, she should run to heaven. He also said that he wanted to kill himself, but didn’t have the guts. Funny, didn’t have the guts to take his own life but took his wife’s instead. And one of the children had to testify.

You post the allegation. You post the divorce filing and police report. You don’t post what every chucklefuck like Doug Stanhope has to say. Is it really newsworthy?

I think Tim Minchin’s take on this was best. Everyone’s hot takes, rampant speculation, along with accusations of fakery have done nothing useful whatsoever.

I’ve been so annoyed by the younger generation unable to write anything without using text-speak. Editing papers is nightmarish. Now we have an emoji bible? Are we going to revert to just expressing ourselves through pictographs sometime in the near future?
