Exactly. I just don’t like the look of diamonds. They’re so blah and ordinary. White sapphire is gorgeous though. I’m also a big fan of star sapphire.

Gaudy isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But big rings are not my style. Look at the photograph below and how tiny my hands are; her ring would look ridiculous on my child-sized fingers. They haven’t grown since I was nine.

Unlike Don Cheadle, I am a Taylor Swift Hater. (Tayter?) I don’t find her that talented. The best album that came out in 2015 was The Mountain Goats’ Beat the Champ.

Pfft, we didn’t even get diamonds for our rings. We got tanzanite, because it’s prettier and far more rare. Our rings aren’t huge, but that’s because we didn’t want gaudy bling on our fingers.

Which is exactly why Truman Capote didn’t want her in the role. He thought Marylin Monroe should have played Hollie, and that would have been a much different film if she had.

I’ve heard a couple different statements from him pertaining to that role over the years, and I believe the latest one has him distancing himself from the role and calling it shameful and racist. I could be wrong though!

How do you feel about Peter Sellers’ yellowface in “Murder by Death”? Personally, as shocking as it is in 21st century eyes, since he was playing an analog of the detective character Charlie Chan, who was also a man in yellow-face, and the jokes were derived from that, I don’t take issue with that one the way I do…

I mean, it was a good movie, but even Mickey Rooney is regretful that he took that role and said that is was wildly offensive and inappropriate.
