I think her mom goes past that though when she calls Sally to say she shouldn’t have told the abuse story because now she has to see them Sally’s abuser and his family at church and it’s weird. She pretty much diminishes some pretty horrific sounding abuse and seems to deny it even happened. She also kinda blames…
Pretty much this. It's definitely a very good game. But I didn't see much to differentiate it and honestly I think I'm just getting kinda done with huge huge maps
Yeah I bounced of BoTW hard (love Zelda games in general) which puzzled me a bit after hearing everyone call it groundbreaking and genre changing and stuff.
Super unpopular opinion I’m sure, but man I just couldn’t get into BoTW. It got so much praise for changing the genre and stuff, but honestly to me it felt like every other massive open world game that’s too big and kinda gets boring/repetitive quickly (Assassin’s creed and Horizon come to mind).
Oh yeah there are shitty people like that for sure. I mainly meant the right paints everyone with the Antifa brush like Antifa is pulling the strings of basically every protest group. Like if the NAACP hosted a march or something they would call them Antifa
Yup, Antifa isn’t an organized group. It’s literally a Boogeyman term the right uses to group many protestors together and try and make it sound like a terrorist organization or something.
Yeah this struck me as well. The rest is obviously super shitty, but that last line is really sinister. It shows he still sees the “antifa guy” as the villain and says he should be better than him, a guy getting beat up by a group for protesting against a literal coup attempt by wannabe fascists.
I think ultimately for me, regarding people justifying Joel by saying a cure wouldn’t be realistic, I think it’s possible to acknowledge the longshot/small chance of a cure and still not use that to justify his actions.
One thing to note I think is also what Riley tells Ellie after they are bitten and after deciding not to kill themselves. More or less she says “why don’t we just lose our minds together” in both the game and show.
Yes, and unfortunately it’s pretty hard to buy shit without money going to some absolute pieces of shit. But for what its worth I don’t buy activision or blizzard and generally try to look into a studio and investors before I buy a game.
Hold up, are you saying no one in the US gives a fuck about Myanmar or the many other ongoing genocides??
Frankly I think the big make or break issue here is the funding and exactly how much is going to Russia (remember, Saudi Arabia owns a slice of Nintendo, it’s difficult to buy things today without some of that money going to truly awful people). That I would love some clarity on. What’s the investor breakdown and how…
Yeah I have largely heard the same from pretty much everywhere. That’s its pretty openly criticizing the USSR.
Glad to hear that it seems the story is well told and characters are solid! I might give it a look when I finish up dead space remake
“The Last of Us was mediocre mechanically as a game, but an all-time great experience.”
Preach! Totally agreed. And that’s why I really hope the second season is basically presented in a similar format as the game. One thing that I think makes that work so well is holding back info until late and the back and forth perspectives adding another view to what was already seen/played.
This is kinda weird that she would be down to write tomb raider, but I’m absolutely here for it!
Lol, that’s wild that people are that dumb. Pretty crazy to think maybe games can just be games and not the wet dreams of incels.
“you can overlook the negligible difference between 30fps and 60fps”
