Two things happening here. First is that the C8 was artificially blocked from depreciating due to supply chain constraints. It probably would have been similar-ish to the C7 in absence of that.

Skinny Vettes always drop hard after a few years. This is not new. It does help a bit that the C7 is a “true” Corvette.

Honestly, good for them. They set themselves a genuine challenge, took it on, and left the road better than they found it with the installation of those chargers.

I’m guessing the impressive part is that they were the first to make the trip in Cybertrucks—whether you love it or hate it, it’s a very popular vehicle right now—and they also brought charging capabilities with them, setting up infrastructure that benefits others beyond just their trip. I get why you’re not a fan of

I would think that the Honda CR-Z is sort of a successor of the CRX.

Self driving is allowing people who know they shouldn’t be driving(pre med student) to engage a system they believe will compensate for their impairment.

It definitely should be investigated if Blue Cruise is failing in some scenarios at a worryingly high rate.

Sometimes you have to hate the player and the game

Lawyers don’t typically want to blame anyone. They have a paying client and the lawyer’s job is to get the best legal outcome for that client.

Its a tragedy that two men lost their lives, it’s a travesty that some lawyer wants to blame the car and not the driver.

While correct about the GVWR, that still means a load of landscaping bricks or something like that in a Tundra truck bed will exceed the limit. There are plenty of non-commercial people who make trips with 1500 pounds worth of people & supplies in their truck/van, so I’d still consider that a dangerously low weight

That is all GVW, not curb weight.

It would be interesting to see it as a cloaked revival of the C7.

Caddy XLR actually makes sense for GM to keep a Front Engine Supercar in the line up. It would compete in a different market then the Corvette does.

Isn’t the current Corvette essentially the new Fiero?  I mean the styling screams Pontiac with all the different color plastics, etc.  I like to think the C8 is GMs way of admitting they F’d up in 1988.

Eh, it doesn't have to be.  Take a team who is doing the bear minimum to meet their insurance company's requirements, who just installs the hardware and doesn't bother to hide it.

Nationalizing SpaceX and frankly Boeing (Space Division) is a terrible idea. Americans hate paying for space travel and space exploration. If you nationalize SpaceX, spending will go down and any you can kiss goodbye to technological breakthroughs like self landing boosters. Shuttle program failed due to costs.

I just think it’s entirely reasonable for FAA to say “Wait a second, something unexpected happened and we don’t want something else unexpected that might be more dangerous to happen, so let’s talk about this a bit. Explain it so that we have reasonable confidence you won’t create a dangerous situation in the National

NASA outsources all the missions. The only difference is NASA mission control, but the majority of items NASA manages are built by private contractors, right down to the space suits.

It’s kind of odd imagine how the landing of a booster on a drone ship at sea, regardless of its success or failures because it is not a mission critical objective, would be cause to delay any launches. It’s not like humans are ever on board the booster when it makes a landing attempt, and it’s not like this is the
