I was in the Center of Australia in late December (equivalent to late June in the Northern Hemisphere)—when the temp reached 114, the hottest I’ve ever felt. But I was 29, and the heat was dry. The worst of the heat this summer in Boston has been worse, and I’m just so glad I’m not in Arizona (although Flagstaff would

If the place has misters, it won’t be bad to walk around in. In the desert, areas where there are misters active can be 70-75 deg on a 120 deg day.

I’ll start with your last question - yes, and it’s honestly not bad if you’re in the shade. I mean I wouldn’t voluntarily chill outside when it’s 107 but 90 in New Orleans is definitely worse.

Unfortunately for me, back when I worked at MotorTrend, they loved to send us out into the Mojave. Also had to go to/through Death Valley a few times. It was the kind of hot where my shoes would still be wet from sweat the next morning. And I’d still take that over New Orleans in August.

thanks to obnoxious, oppressive, human rights-violating humidity”

The hybrid system is what makes it heavy. They downgraded to the turbo 4 to save weight. They could have kept it as a V8 only and be a lot lighter but their #1 priority was hybridization.

I will say that customer interest hasn’t been particularly high for the 4 cyl.

The insurance agent sent to verify the conditions of the house and property likely took a drive by and (even more likely) never even had to get out of the car to see this hoarder’s junk piling up in the driveway. Anything you can see from the street doesn’t need a warrant to look at, you bozo.

To be fair, from the one picture I see of his driveway, he does have an unreasonable amount of debris all over the place. The insurance company basically acted as the HOA here (which I normally despise), this guy’s driveway looks like a hoarders junkyard with enough space to fit a car between the piles of trash.

Whether by drone, airplane, or satellite, the idea of insurers keeping tabs on their customers’ properties is unnerving.”

they’re working on that “fastest route”

So tax pretty much every new vehicle being produced... and your mom?

Pretty sure bigger pedestrians is how we got to bigger cars.

I didn’t think there could be a dumber comment than the one you’re replying to, and yet, kudos moron

1. Bigger pedestrians.

I just checked Google Maps but couldn’t find the “Evade Police” feature. Maybe Waze has that?
