In a word, Delta-V.

Because the oval of uncertainty is larger than any current battlefield? I’m actually surprised they chose the Atlantic. Usually these kinds of events are targeted to the south Pacific, multiple thousands of miles away from any inhabited land.
The iPhone 14 will actually alert 911 via satellite if there’s no cellular or Wi-Fi available.
I can imagine Elon having a similar state of mind as Stockton Rush. A level of arrogance that leads them to believe they know better than everyone else. These types of videos should be a warning to Elon and show that this tech is not ready, but I’m sure he’s going to push it through anyway because safety is overrated…

The streets were made with public tax dollars and repaired with public tax dollars. The race is on public streets, not a private track!

“The entire production chain for the BMW iX is green”
If somebody calls your BS, you may have to back it up, otherwise you are liable.
AC comes from running the engines though, no? They don’t have enough fuel to run one engine for hours, so when they’re sitting like that they usually shut down completely. Which then gets hot as shit inside.
THIS. Who makes the call in such obvious situations? After 60 minutes, it’s obvious, but to wait 4 hours later?! Good lord
If this is the case - why not cancel the flight within 60 minutes of realizing that the temperature will not be dropping any time soon? Weather reports are real time, unbelievable.
In case anyone is wondering, aircraft have difficulty lifting off when temperatures exceed 100 F. due to reduced air density.
